Having worked with (virtual) studio equipment for a while (I composed soundtrack for a motion picture), I became keen on "twisting the controller knobs", too - alas, mostly virtual ones. One of my favourite pastimes is fiddling around with sounds which are dear to my heart. By "fiddling around" I mean reversing and / or stretching the sound (i.e. extending its duration), adding various effects etc. etc. - all in an attempt to catch and prolong sonic moments which bear enough significance for me to give me goosebumps.

This is a playlist of assorted ear candies which I created mostly for (my own) aural pleasure.

I stretched the sound to its triple, meaning that the tempo of the sound is the third of the original (i.e. duration is 3 minutes instead of 1). The result is a veeery slowly (peacefully) evolving ambient and ethereal sound, full of dream-like echoes and reverbs. Nevertheless, the whole thing inevitably bears a quality as if it was played within a really large metal tank.

*I know this kind of sonic experimenting is not for everyone.* If you have got 3 free minutes for it, I do recommend you to put your earphones on, sit back, relax and close your eyes.
