Originally part of a small crop of American artists inspired by dubstep, garage, grime, jungle and other ‘nuum sounds, Kastle has transitioned through multiple aesthetic iterations since he burst into the popular consciousness 8+ years ago. The past year saw him re-focus his idiosyncratic lens on his roots of UKG and put out several tracks that received regular rotation on radio and many DJs top charts. Whether it was the instant cult classic "4 Real", the collaborations with Mind Of A Dragon, or his remixes for legends like Scott Diaz and AC Slater.

With that momentum we are happy to present "Get Right Inside", a compilation hand selected and mixed by Kastle as he continues to explore garage musics timeless sounds with hints of UK funky that perfectly fit the vibe. Half of the album is exclusive and brand new, a testament to the artists dedication to new sounds and building his own unique world.

The mix kicks off on a low-key vibe with tracks from On1 and Duncan Powell, both a bit ethereal and subtle in their details. We quickly get into an exclusive from Kastle himself, with a vocal number featuring Olivia-Louise & SAZ. As the mix rolls on it gets into some dusty bits from Exit99 and Opus -- a classic sound but still forever in the present moment. Shortly after Higgo's smooth "Interlude" the mix transitions into a few UK funky numbers from some of the best: Roska, Leda Stray, High Class Filter and Ozwald. This allows for a nice transition into some 4x4 from Tuff Culture before ending the mix on the 2-step vibe with ZeroFG's remix of "Darkside" and Cellardore's exclusive, "Get Right Inside", which you will recognize as the namesake for the album -- a nod to the compilers interest and focus on using music to affect positive psychological change inside our minds. Finally, we've got a special Kastle remix of Mind Of A Dragon's "L.T.T.M." featuring Shantie before we close out with Four40’s very own Conrad Glimpse

‘Dust Off’ expertly draws on the musical legacy of UK Garage, retro-fitting the saccharine sweetness of it’s golden era with a heavyweight modern exoskeleton. Bass is deployed with an innate understanding of what will tear a club up, and this track is guaranteed to do absolutely that.

‘Gosh’ deftly extrapolates the core mechanics of Bingo-Era UK Garage and twists them into something new and innovative. Relentless bass mutates throughout, interwoven with choice samples and keys for a truly refreshing and forward-thinking
production.

Label-mate MKII steps up to reconfigure the lead track into something altogether darker, showcasing his unique take on the UKG sound. Brooding chords play out over intricately woven percussion whilst peak-time piano lines and strings bring the drama.

Yemi touches down for an incredibly vibrant four track selection on the ever-dependable Four40, whose productivity seems to know no bounds. We commence with a dive into the stunning piano lines and charming vocal slices of 'Easy Living', before the interesting melodic switch ups and pitch-alterations of 'Skippy' roll into play. Next, Tuff Culture gets involved with his contributions towards the incredibly nostalgic rhythms and harmonies of 'Don't Tell Me', which also happens to complete with a personal rework dub from Yemi himself. ‘A Girl’ is a sprightly composition in the mold of classic UK Garage, full of rhythm and swing. Finely-tuned percussion layers up into warm bass and sparkling piano keys to build a mood and tone that is near genre perfection. One for the UK Garage connoisseurs out there.

‘Dreeper’ raises the tempo with a subtle but complex dissection of the UKG template, rolling bass and poly-rhythmic drum work flexing in the track’s flow with exhilarating results. Packed full of groove and atmosphere, it’s a fantastic piece of work.

One of the hottest new UKG production units steps up for a remix on the lead track. Earthnut infuse the original with their own unique aesthetic, deploying slap bass and swirling chords to build up the pace. It’s a fantastically mutated intersection of Funk, R&B and UK Garage that further reinforces their reputation as one of the most creative production force in the genre today.
