They've been doing bits for a while now, but have really picked up the pace recently, perfectly highlighted by this new EP. The essential imprint have summed it up perfectly really: 'Witchdoctor sees out the release with nostalgic 4x4 viber 'On The Rocks'; shuffling hi hats, cut up vocals, a rumbling bassline and an organ riff that you can't get out of your head will make sure you keep coming back.' Yemi touches down for an incredibly vibrant four track selection on the ever-dependable Four40, whose productivity seems to know no bounds. We commence with a dive into the stunning piano lines and charming vocal slices of 'Easy Living', before the interesting melodic switch ups and pitch-alterations of 'Skippy' roll into play. Next, Tuff Culture gets involved with his contributions towards the incredibly nostalgic rhythms and harmonies of 'Don't Tell Me', which also happens to complete with a personal rework dub from Yemi himself. Moony - Burning Fire EP (SHAG 009) Out 11th September
Another month, Another release! We're not slowing down at all this year, this month we bring you a legend in the game bringing us his first EP with us, Moony. Moony is without doubt a legend in the underground music scene and has had support from the likes of DJ EZ on his boiler room sets to Todd Edwards, DJ Q, Jamie Duggan and many many more. We're delighted to bring him on board for this EP.

To start off the EP here's a summary of what each track is and what vibes we got!

Burning Fire - For the self entitled track for the EP, Moony has come with straight fire! Bringing a massive 4x4 Todd Edwards style beat with the chopped up vocals, a sweet melody and banging bassline behind it, you can use this for any type of set whether radio or clubs its a real club banger for the ages we think!
Ice Cream - Some slightly differing flavours from moony but a very unique track, a dark jackin house style song with a very catchy melody and a 4 to the floor beat, this one will take you back to the 2014/15 ways and get the crowd moving easy.
It is - Moving into original Moony territory, we bring you a 2-Step 140bpm slammer, simplistic vocal chops with more basslines for the eardums, you already know this ones a big heater for the sets and will hear the sub throughout the sound system.
Obsession - Finishing off the EP with this bouncy 4 to the floor banger which has been supported across the airwaves recently, another classic style 2014/15 jackin house style bass with a garage twist at 137bpm. A pure rave slammer which is primed and ready for the clubs!
