Just before Christmas, for the 6th @balamii show @ghaastly roped in an artist who's a pivotal player within the bass music community. We welcomed @abstraktsonance to the Strictly 140 show. 

He came with a bag of freshness and put together an overly sick guest mix consisting of released bits, forthcoming material and of course a load of collaborative productions. Massive thank you to him for putting it all together, have a listen below.

A : Chad Dubz - Regrets is a dark, minimal, sub-weight dubstep track. It's got the trademark Chad Dubz wobbles and sits perfectly on a sound system.

B : Chad Dubz - Regrets (Argo Remix) is completely different, he's flipped the original production on its head and created a light, uplifting track. Introducing strings and warm 808s. The tune is almost ethereal.

The contrast between both the light and the dark aspects of each track is really noticeable and something we were aiming for in the beginning.

This one's an EP with 2 very contrasting productions. 

The 1st track 'Lecter' is a cold, militant dubstep track. Heavy on the low end and minimal throughout, shrouded in eeriness. This ones ideal for a fat system in a underground rave.

However the 2nd track 'Mercy Killing' is an audacious skippy grime bit. Hectic and aggressive, perfect for an emcee to unleash on. 
Almost as if it's been plucked straight out of a fight scene from a kung fu movie. 

Creep N00m has absolutely smashed this release and his versatility when it comes to producing dark music really shines through.

I’ve been wanting to feature a track by ‘Creep N00m’ for some time now, his work rate and over all production ability is outstanding. ‘Spooky’ regularly plays fresh bits from him on a lot of radio set's he spins on.

Creep has such an eclectic sound to his music and is very experimental at time's but it always works perfectly. I'm really happy that he's on board with us.

Tubz has been a close affiliate and friend to our label since we first started up. Having already released on REFIX001, we thought it was time to get him back and put out one of his own productions. 

'Weigh in' is a very cold track taking inspiration from both grime and dubstep, creating an icey roller that stabs at you with every kick.

Tubz is also one of the head honcho's at the well known liverpool record label @m62_uk and has just released an EP recently with them. Be sure to check that release and the label out. Out to all the M62 guys.

Being from the UK ourselves, we've found that there are a lot more opportunities musically here than there are in various other countries, so with this release we just wanted to showcase the talent that other places in the world has to offer. Our aim was to try and feature as many different textures of dubstep within this one release as we could, from dark, minimal, sub-heavy dubstep, to the more experimental side of the genre, theres something for everyone in this release. "Chad Dubz is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with, within the dubstep world. His influences vary- having started out when he was younger immersed in Heavy Metal, he was, in fact, a part of a metal band up until he left to go university in Leeds. 

His first rave, which was the mighty Subdub, was the first proper time that Chad knew he wanted to get involved in the underground music scene. He had a specific direction with his productions in the early days, and he wanted to create music solely for Subdub. There's something special about the Iration system, and for a producer to want to create music directed strictly for that system, it's a real motivational drive to make absolute weight. "

They make some of the hardest hitting music in the scene, but also approach production in a very experimental way, they are of course the trio known as @LSN-UK.

This mix hits every spot for me, theres a sound in there for everyone. With a lot of dubs featured plus a few released bits, the mix encompasses everything LSN are.
