A raw improve track recorded on an android phone while I watch my kids play in the studio one Friday evening on Nov 18, 2022. This is a I ii V vi progression in the key of C. I first played the chords with an improve rhythm and stomped it into my GT-1 phrase looper. I improve a guitar riff to dub over that progression and stomp it in and put down the guitar. Starting up the phone recording as I sit down at the Piano. I then improve over for the looped guitar phrases for the track. Fade in volume on looper for start and fade out amp volume before stopping the recording.

"This is a simple ii I improve phrase looper session. I play an easy rhythm impromptu then stomp it to repeat with my GT-1's phrase looper. I brainstorm a bass line to it with a few seconds of walking on the lower scales and then stomp something easy in. I add a lead part to stomp in and then just sit back and listen to it for awhile...  Record it with my phone so I can critic it while I make tacos..." -Rick B.

You fall into a secret passage. As the corridor ends lights gleam as a room of books opens up before you. Lost knowledge reveals itself to the worthy.

 "After improving a rhythm, I stomp it in and improve a lead riff to stomp on a dub. Then I sit back and listen for a few... I liked this one enough to take a quick recording on my phone." -Rick B.

The longest stretch of open road alongside waves of water. You're set on cruise as the solar system spins the sky into its next phase. The sky turns orange.

This is an improve idea one day that inspired me. I recorded it into Studio One 5 digital audio interface for mixing. -RAB

Orange Sky

This is a raw improve track recorded on a phone. It features a slide melody played using a wedding ring. Using my GT-1 phrase looper I create an easy melody using my wedding ring the week I had got married. I then stomp in an improve rhythm to support it and let both play while I sit back and think.  I decide to record a sample on my phone. Jynx The Destroy (Our Studio Cat) adds to the improve track by laying on the phone at the end while purring which is his way of agreeing he likes the music!

Ring Slide in Bminor

"The hull creeks in around you, pulsing, imploding and ominously surrounding; a beating heart." -Sector 8.47

This E minor progression is full of dropped chords and percussive rakes that will keep you moving as the lead riffs fly you across a midnight sky of possibilities.

This was the product of one 8 hour night learning Ableton Live DAW for the first time back in 2018. I improved and recorded material to organize and use while learning the program.

All of it was cut from a single 10m impromptu recording directly through an audio interface into the digital audio workstation. After the initial improve, I spent most of the time learning the DAW's layout and function while beginning to create Sector 8.47 as it was my first mixed track using Ableton Live. It took 8 hours and 47 minutes exactly from beginning to when I finished. I have not edited or reworked this mix since that day of creation.

This one is an improve jam from 2016. It was a midnight improve jam somewhere between the stress of rent and the angst of sleep.

Aliens Are Comings is a loop improve created from a ton of fx in the GT-1 Multifx Pedal. It features 3 dubs and a lead improvised track. All of the sounds are played live on guitar. Unedited and record on a phone.

Waves of tranquility wash over you, bathing warmth. Feeling has come and belonging takes hold. You are whole; trust in the power of one. We are all one.

Serenityloop is a smooth, relaxing improvised loop live on guitar using the GT-1 phrase looper. It features a lead track that weaves tranquility into the mix with creative volume swells and phrasing that keeps attack low and warmth high.

Destined is a guitar improvised track recorded raw on a phone. This loop was stomped in one live guitar track at a time on the GT-1 phrase looper during an improve loop session.

"It was around 2am, I had been improving and stomping on the loop pedal for the past hour or two moving from one idea to the next without thinking, only feeling my way through the music. I started a new idea and after three stomps it suddenly sounded like an orchestra of strings and violins. I recorded this sample with my phone so I can remember the idea for later!"
