The first interpretation comes from Andrea Cassino who we don't need to introduce to much. His tracks are unique and unreplicably unbelievable. The Italian artist remix has been already received massive support from the cream of the progressive house artists. His remix relies heavily on rhythm and groove as opposed to melodies and atmosphere. A brilliant remix which seems to be one of Consapevole's strongest release of the year.

About the release
Passionate musician Moritz Rausch aka Rauschhaus is back on Parquet. After the big success of his singles "Bespin | Solar Waves" (parquet199) back in May 2019, it was time for an appropriate follow-up release. Here it is, including two brandnew tracks called "What we expect" and "Faunus" accustomed packed with proggy elements, catchy melodies and the beloved "Rauschhaus" feeling. Enjoy!

The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Forniva back to the label for his debut EP. The Bosnian artist first appeared on the Greek imprint in November of 2018 with a remix of Emi Galvan's 'Dopamine', while a contribution to the label's Technical Progress, Vol. 8 collection landed in December of the same year. February of this year then yielded a well received remix of Sean and Dee's 'Before the Storm'. Now calling Movement Recordings a comfortable home, Forniva returns with the 'Tinkerbell' EP alongside remixes from Rauschhaus and Alfonso Muchacho.
Beginning with the groovy, cutting edge sounds of the title cut it's clear Forniva has crafted some of his freshest work. Tough and dramatic across it's six-minute journey, it's a sensory delight full of groovy dance floor dynamics. As mounds of bass roll, spacey effects add an astral vibe, before eventually melting down into a break of emotive chord changes and poignant motifs. Building subtly, the beauty lies in the drop, powerful yet classy, it sparks a new effects narrative set for dance floor destruction. The companion piece 'Walking on Thin Ice' comes with an equally tough yet more quirky approach. Punchy beats and a warm, driving groove set an emotive mood early, with ghostly vocals and astral electronics only adding to its dramatic charm. The main break furthers its pensive appeal, as sheets of icey overlays and mind-bending electronics unite, resulting in a one-minute stretch of aural bliss.
The lone interpretation of 'Tinkerbell' is provided by Alfonso Muchacho who returns to the label for his second appearance. The UK artist has been a mainstay of the progressive underground since first arriving on the scene in 2013. With over 200 discography credits, Alfonso has showcased his music on Beatfreak Recordings, Beat Boutique and ICONYC, while earning support from the genre's leading guard in Hernan Cattaneo. Having made his Movement debut in May of 2019 with the 'Stranger Danger' EP, Alfonso now returns for his first remix. Opting for a distinctly modern approach, the UK artist reshapes the groove into a wave of tension filled bass. A tight rhythmic core coupled with organic percussion and fresh electronics set the stage for a series of deadly transitions and unpredictable shifts. Otherworldly in feel, it transfers energy into a section of tripped out designs and wonky modulation, before a third act of smooth chord changes and striking tonal themes seal its brilliance.
The lone interpretation of 'Walking on Thin Ice' is provided by Rauschhaus who makes his label debut. The German producer has been a highly regarded figure of the melodic house underground for the last two years, having showcased his music on Beatfreak Recordings, Eleatics Records, Einmusika Recordings, Timeless Moment and Stil Vor Talent. Now making a long overdue debut on Movement, Rauschhaus rounds out the release with a trippy take on 'Walking on Thin Ice'. Fluid and groovy in equal measure, it's a mix that carries the sensibility of the original, while adding a sleeker vibe through unique sonic artefacts and ethereal arps. Building beautifully into the break, muted beats carry tension across the centrepiece while percussive flurries and flashing arps unite for a cosmic crescendo. A stunning rendition from the much-loved German artist, rounding out another must have offering from Tash's Movement Recordings.

Label alumni Volker Erman teamed up with Mumbai resident Priya Sen, who is known for her vision to entertain, educate and be an independent voice on music in the ever-evolving Indian scene. On their joint ICONYC Noir debut they deliver the outstanding 'Silver Rain' featuring remixes from Yudi Watanabe & Juan Sapia. Passionate about their métier and adept in a variety of genres, atmosphere is an integral component in Volkan Erman & Priya Sen's production sound as progressive house, melodic techno and deep house are closely tied to sensations ranging across the spectrum from melancholy to delight. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, accompanied by a refined synth line that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception. First up we welcome Yudi Watanabe on remix duty, who needs no introduction and certainly knows a thing or two when it comes to outstanding reworks: Yudi turned 'Silver Rain' into an irresistible track by using the original elements on offer with perfection. Yudi layers more melodies and effects, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed percussion and his trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the original. Classy progressive house, as it was always intended. Next up, we are excited to welcome back Juan Sapia on remix duty. Juan who hails from Argentina and is known for his works on Sudbeat, Plattenbank and Beat Boutique amongst others, presents a musical affirmation, unified by a deep kick drum and atmospheric emotion. His remix is a concoction of warm, deep bass grooves, swirling pads, textured layers and stunning effects. Clever synth phrases complete the picture and create a rounded worked piece of art to see out his remix in style. His rework deserves to be branded 'essential' in any sense of the word. Volkan & Priya deliver a beautiful track full of driving electronica-soaked harmonies which come together to create a structured sphere of sonic geniality. A wonderful release for the ages and a wonderful way to move into summer in style. Highly recommended!

"Our Chrom Recordings EP nr 40 is from Sam Albasini aka Aston Alba, a producer & DJ from Switzerland. In 2018 he released his first singles and EP's on Trippy Code and Inlab. Pretty soon his style of music evolved from melancholic & hypnotic techno into a mix of mystic atmospheres and Middle Eastern sounds resulting in releases on Grrreat & Aftertech. And in this style he presents us now his "Mesopotamia" EP on Chrom Recordings, consisting of 2 original tracks "Tigris" & "Euprates", completed with 3 very powerful remixes.

For "Euphrates" we asked an artist we already wanted to add to our roster for some time: Aaron Suiss, from Washington DC, but now currently residing in Thailand. Aaron Suiss describes his style of music as Progressive Melodic House/Techno. Aaron is currently working as the A&R & Label Manager of Outta Limits Recordings, one of the leading Progressive House labels around and the imprint of Stan Kolev & Matan Caspi. Next to his output on Outta Limits he also has released on Revolt, Harabe & O'Tawa. For this remix Aaron teams up with Q.U.A.K.E aka Netanel Asraf from Israel.

The second remix of "Euphrates" is made by Riccardo LeBron aka Anakim (pronounce as ana-keem), a Los Angeles-based DJ/producer who describes his music as "Intergalactic Underground Sounds". He perfected his sound at the esteemed Icon Collective Music Production School resulting in a dark and mysterious sonic style that is both melodically rich and delightfully sinister. Releases on top labels such as EIN2, ICONYC, mau5trap, Desert Hearts Black, Krafted Underground, Dear Deer,... and nominated by DJ Mag as "Artist To Watch" in 2019 and by Billboard Dance as "Emerging Artist You Should Know" this year, says it all.

And last but not least the EP is completed with a remix of "Tigris" by Sarcasmo. Sarcasmo is a new project, a new idea, from the Spanish producer/DJ Alvaro Fuentes, established in London, sharing his more than 10 years of experience and in which after researching about different styles brings his darkest side: techno, deep and minimal influences fused with dark vibes is what you can find in most of his energetic productions, resuling in releases on labels such as Steyoyoke, Us & Them, KDB, Wood, Cinematique, Qilla,..."
