Born out of a lockdown night when their usual Saturday night plans were off limits, Defected regular Darius Syrossian and South Records boss George Smeddles decided to cook something up for the anticipated return to the club. With just a vocal to work with, they decided to produce something with the 90s, uplifting vibe dancefloors would be needing. Demonstrating the same addictive, dancefloor-ready grooves seen on their previous collabs like ‘Get Toast’ and ‘Blood Orange’, this latest joint venture once again delivers the heat. With its deep organ bassline, playful keys and irresistible 4/4 swing, this record oozes club appeal in a way you can only expect from producers rooted firmly in the scene. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Gorkiz is known for his dynamic productions and captivating DJ sets. He has also gained significant traction in the music industry, securing releases on prominent labels like Toolroom, Clubsonica Records, Kittball, and Balkan Connection. He is the founder of Transensations Records.

Together the duo provide a magnificent take on Arcadio's original on their first outing for If You Wait Music.
