Austria’s STRIZZI Records are proud to introduce their very first release: 

Claudio Ricci & Megablast’s Juniper EP!

Sascha Weisz (aka Megablast)  is one of Austria’s foremost DJs and producers, being released on labels like International DeeJay Gigolo Records, G-Stone, Great Stuff and his own Luv Lite Recordings, as well as having been remixed by influential producers like Henrik Schwarz, Luciano and DJ Koze. 

Now based in Ibiza, Sascha has paired up with Claudio Ricci: Dj, producer and co-founder of STRIZZI Records. These talented friends produce music mostly with analog gear. Their sound is dynamic and diverse, spanning the whole house music genre. As a producing duo they have already been released on Germany’s cult label Compost Records. 

The Juniper EP contains two tracks. The first one is called Juniper, a Juno-60-infected, bass-driven slice of House with a deep attitude. The housey vibe runs through the whole track and an infectious hook converts the track into an instrumental earworm. 

The second track is Viajero, which is Spanish for ‘traveller’. The journey begins with African balafon sounds played by Claudio Ricci and Megablast themselves. An increasing synth loop supports the balafon and leads the track to its first peak. A groovy bassline, driven Hi-Hats, warm synths and a catchy acid line vary the track constantly. The track remains exciting until the end and takes the listener on a complete journey.

STRIZZI 001 is a release for lovers of analog sounds. It is music out of the box and contrasts with today's fast-paced production style. An EP from music aficionados for music aficionados!
