The BPM range is pretty large. The playlist was made for the upcoming Nocturnal music festival which is the reason for the theme but it is not limited to artists going to be at that festival. This is another mix I did for my friend Ruben! The last mix I did for him was Hardstyle. This mix is mostly Hard/Industrial Techno with a small variety of tempo and genre changes at the end. The mix follows the concept of starting in a dark place and ending in an area much lighter than where it starts.

This is a mix I made after coming back from the Apocalypse Zombieland festival this year, and I was so inspired by the craziness of all of the DnB sets I witnessed I really wanted to make a mix that was in the caliber of energy I had experienced over the two days. I heard a bunch of new music and I wanted to test that. I was inspired to also try my hand at more triple drops and there were quite a few here. This mix has 50 songs and runs at 175BPM.

T.R.I.L. (Drum & Bass Mix)

Growing Pains was a concept I first thought of when I started mixing music. It was fitting as when you start to put music together you go through the motions of not only putting music together that sounds good (to you), but also you start to put emotions together that you may not have known you needed to combine. This is the reason I love DJing. Sure, the tricks are cool but putting music on top of each other that you love creates something new and it can be very uplifting and also bring much sorrow. I have tried to fill these mixes with the most uplifting music that I could think of, but there's also moments of introspection that may or may not be the happiest feeling and that is ok. Growing up is learning how to handle the things that life really throws at you, and preparing for the next big obstacle while remaining put together from all of your previous experiences. After recovery comes lucidity.
