Fabio Florido I Freaky Deaky 15Years I Tenax Club (12.04.2025)

Here’s the live recording of my set at Piknic Electronik Montreal 2025, marking my fifth year in a row playing at this beloved event.

This time, the challenge was once again a bit different: a short 1-hour slot, playing right before Enrico Sangiuliano, whose big room techno sound is quite different from mine. I still wanted to stay true to my style, while keeping things slightly more accessible to the Enrico and Piknic crowd than some of my usual sets. Despite the cold and rainy weather, I was set on bringing happy, uplifting energy to the dancefloor.

Expect a colorful and energetic ride, blending techno with trancy vibes and acid melodies. Whether you were dancing in the rain that day or discovering this for the first time, I hope this set brings you a little boost of joy.

And now for something completely different...

Len Faki's reputation proceeds him. The Berlin-based DJ, producer and Figure and LF RMX boss has a list of accolades longer than your arm.

For nearly two decades he's been at the top of his game: he's held a long standing residency at Berghain since its opening, traded techno anthems with the likes of Ostgut Ton and Cocoon, notched up a nearly 200 strong discography on his Figure imprint, all whilst holding down a busy touring schedule year on year.

The latter has been turned somewhat on its head this year, but with the lack of gigs has come more time for creative exploration, something that Faki has undertaken with his new 'Open Space' series — a collection of carefully curated compilations that centre around forward-thinking electronica and ambient to stimulate the emotions and let the mind wander.

Giving established artists - known for their dancefloor-centric output - the freedom to showcase another side of their skills, the inaugural outing features a string of suitably moving compositions from the likes of Moritz Von Oswald, JakoJako, Tin Man and Faki himself.

To celebrate the release of Volume 1, which comes out today via Figure, Len eases us into a new week and lets us into a different side of his tastes, which simmer slowly from twinkling ambient and electronica to warm, fuzzy soundscapes.

The final episode of DJ Nastia’s music journey alongside Ballantine’s for Scary Beautiful delivers us to the industrial realm of ‘ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’. The origin of the renowned steel factory dates back to 1934 when the first pig iron was produced. Today it is the largest enterprise in the mining and metallurgical industries - the colossal scale of the enterprise and its capabilities of a full metallurgical cycle make it unprecedented. The enterprise comprises such production facilities as mining and processing, producing coke, steelmaking, etc. with the main focus of the company being the production of rebar and wire rod.  
85% of the manufactured products from Ukraine are exported to new construction sites in 65 countries and the plant annually produces 6, 000, 000 tons of steel. Constructions like the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the NSC Olympic Stadium in Kyiv, and even the protective sarcophagus over the 4th power unit in Chernobyl's nuclear power plant have all used materials produced at ArcelorMittal.  
Not only has ArcelorMittal been the largest foreign investor in Ukraine for the past 15 years, but the company also strives to transform all enterprises of the corporation to produce green and environmentally friendly steel. As an example, since 2006 air emissions have reduced by 42%, wastewater discharge decreased by 78%, and waste dumping by 23%.

Scary Beautiful by Nastia - ArcelorMittal: Steel Factory

In 1998 Nathan Strohkirch, aka Strohkir, was introduced to the underground scene and was intrigued to become a dj.  Surrounded by Detroit's techno roots and Chicago's house sounds he began to experiment with finding his own sound.   Starting out he experimented with Jungle, Hard House, Trance, Progressive, House until he found his nitch.  Today if you come upon Nathan Strohkirch playing it will most likely be a blend of techno and tech house.  From 2010 - 2021 Nathan started T3CHNO POOL and had parties scattered through out the Phoenix bar scene as well as camping events and participation with festivals.
