In our second episode, Steven chats to Beth Black (Slowlight, Benjamin Blue) about her experiences growing up around music and how it changed for her once she reached university, studying classical music/performance full time. 

Beth then shares her thoughts on how finding punk and performing this type of music live helped change her outlet and focus on music.

Episode #004 of the Strong Side Podcast with Nathan Barley Phillips, CEO and founder of Basick Records, and Entertainment Relations Manager of TuneCore.

This is a great episode and we had a fantastic chat with Nathan heading back to the very beginnings of Basick Records. We chat about how this affected his life with leaving a steady job to making the jump of making music his full time job, eventually building it to one of the most prolific metal and alternative labels in Europe.
