We've a special Bank Holiday premiere, as we feature a new track from Duvz entitled 'And What?' from exciting new label Express, as their new Various Artist compilations nears its full release.

Duvz is a DJ & Producer from Dublin with a taste for the darker side of things combining elements of EBM and techno in both his DJ sets and productions, taking influence from the likes of Slam, Inhalt Der Nacht, Cleric, Surgeon and more.

Duvz has put a lot of time into crafting out his own unique sound, having completed courses with Doug Cooney in Real Sound Ireland, The Sound Training College & Will Kinsella's Elevator Program, and winning the Soma Records x Splice Producer Challenge in 2019, with his track "Enough".

The Express crew (Shane Gleeson, Fiachra Walsh and Thomas Fallon) started off in the middle of this pandemic gathering mixes from up-and-coming artists around the country, showcasing the talent the emerald isle has to offer. After seeing the huge demand for their style they took the next steps into venturing into releasing tracks.

Express Galway drop their first VA of 2021 on April 9th and provide us with an 8-track whopper. This VA features a vast range of styles that linger on the surface of hard techno, featuring 8 up and coming Irish artists to watch, ROWDIBOI, FÍACHRA, JEED, Joshua Naughton, SMBG, Deano, PLAGUE and Duvz.

After nearly a year of work since our last VA, we can finally announce our second various artists compilation, VKVA002.

The VA is another huge compilation with all of our favourite artists along with tracks from 4 of our residents and just like last time, we’ll be donating half of the proceeds to Ayrshire Samaritans - a local mental health charity who was greatly appreciative of our last donation and deserves the help more than anything.

This is the second of three parts of the compilation.

Frenetik026 comes courtesy of Berrik and is heavy from the first whistle. Originally from Glasgow but now based in London, Berrik has been mixing for a few years now but recently has come into his own and found his style. His hard, energetic sound has seen him previously feature on the Voight-Kampff series and we were delighted to have him on board when he registered an interest.  

This mix was inspired by the parties at FOLD, Jaded and also the experiences of partying in mainland Europe. It was recorded on three cdjs and features tracks by the likes of Clouds, Gijensu, Mother Mary and PLEXOS. 

We’d like to thank Berrik for taking part in our series and providing us with a slammer of a mix which we hope you all enjoy as much as we do. Eoi.

FRENETIK026 - BERRIK

Today marks our second premiere of the remix compilation for Joe Farr's UX [User Experience] label, as Bunkerterror steps up to the task with a thunderous remix of 'Frantic', a tune from Belfast techno heavy-hitter, DAHRYL.

In April of this year, Joe Farr announced he'd be hosting a remix competition, using the stems from 10 of his UX [User Experience] back catalogue tracks. The entrants had until May 10th to finish and submit their tracks, with the winners getting released on a special UX compilation (digital), to be mastered by Joe himself and promoted like any other UX release. Up steps Bunkerterror...
