King Los - Control Remix Response (Kendrick Lamar Diss Track)

This track captures someone sitting with the weight of modern existence, questioning whether their thoughts are even their own anymore. The artist moves through layers of realization - from feeling trapped in endless boxes of society, to the crushing reality of debt and survival, to that moment of seeing through the whole charade. There's this beautiful vulnerability in admitting "I got mouths to feed, I got bills to pay" while simultaneously recognizing the absurdity that your future earnings are already spoken for before you've even lived.
The "time piece" section feels like watching someone put on their work mask, playing the money game because they have to, then taking it off at the end of the shift to remember who they really are. The ending is pure longing - wanting to reconnect with something real, natural, authentic. That final "What have we done..." isn't accusatory, it's genuinely heartbroken wonder at how far we've drifted from our own nature.
