John 00 Fleming 2024 Beatport Top 20 Mix

A special mix for John 00 Fleming. From the first time I saw JOOF play at Sunnyside Up in London in 1998, he's remained one of the most influential and consistent DJ's I've had the pleasure of listening to and following. 
This mix is a wonderful journey of various styles of quality trance including Progressive, Deep, Hypnotic, Raw/Driving and Psy Trance. 
The tracks were curated by JOOF and he put up the challenge for someone to mix them up. Always the peoples DJ, JOOF proposed that his favourite mix would feature on the next edition of his JOOF Radio show. Here is my answer to JOOF's challenge!

I’m really enjoying this time away from my usual manic tour life — it’s giving me space to re-energise, reset, and reflect on where I want to be musically. I’ve been hunting for new music, discovering fresh artists and labels, and reconnecting with the sounds that inspire me.
I also spent some time listening back to old mixes of mine — BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes and more — and it reminded me just how deeply rooted Deep Hypnotic Trance is in my journey. After taking a few months off to focus in the studio finishing my artist album, and with just a handful of festival shows in between, I’m now shifting gears back into DJ mode as I head back on the road—especially for club shows where I’ll be playing longer sets.
Having that time and headspace has also allowed me to reconnect with the deeper, darker, hypnotic Progressive side of my sound—something I’m really excited to explore more. This month’s mix is a little showcase of that direction.
In the second half of the show, we go full power with one of my favourite Psychedelic DJs, Hamish from the UK.
