For the 7th installment of Structure Series Invites we have: Carmen Electro 


Finnish DJ whose burning passion for music has led her on a journey of self-discovery. More than just a DJ project, Carmen Electro represents an ideology of embracing discomfort, seeking new experiences, connecting with others, and channeling creativity and positive energy into personal hedonism and spreading happiness to those around her.
For Carmen Electro, techno on vinyl is the perfect medium to live out this ideology. With a love for the underground sound that began 10 years ago, she now contributes to the contemporary club techno scene by curating selections that range from old-school tribal to modern groove, while also incorporating playful hints of early tech-house, house, and trance.

An hour of pure vinyl joy as Carmen digs into her collection.

We are super excited to present the 140th episode featuring the legendary Developer!

Developer, born Adrian Sandoval, is a pioneering force in the Los Angeles techno scene, with a career spanning over three decades. One of the few active DJ/producers to emerge from LA's underground in the early 1990s, Developer has been instrumental in shaping the West Coast techno movement through his performances, productions, and curatorial efforts.

Today, Developer continues to push the boundaries of techno through his labels, Modularz and Olympian with both platforms showcasing both established and rising talents from across the world. 

As usual, turn up the volume and enjoy the mix!

Having cut his teeth in Brooklyn's warehouse scene, Auspex has become a fixture of NYC's underground techno community and a tireless presence in the city's queer nightlife.

His vision of techno as ritual, darkly throbbing, hypnotic and cathartic, comes alive in sets that weave long, mind-bending blends charged with intensity and release.

He has shared stages with artists from Phase Fatale to Rebekah, played NYC underground institutions like Unter and The Bunker, as well as Berlin's Staub, Pornceptual, Gegen, RSO, ://about blank and most recently Berghain.

Founder of Dominion and later the residency party ALTÆR at Basement, Auspex has created intentional spaces for discovery, reflection and queer community on the dance floor. Beyond DJing, his classical background informs his productions, with releases on Soma, Diffuse Reality, Mäinmise, Oath and more, alongside his own new imprint, Templum.

This episode continues VARIA's mission: championing considered electronic expression and lasting artistry.

At the peak of our longest event to date on Saturday, January 18th 2025, a NYC-based selector stepped into the booth at Masada to tell a story: a journey of tension and release, brimming with emotion and passion, a romance that lingered in our memories long after. We are beyond thrilled to mark the 100th instalment of CLOSERcast with none other than Holden Federico’s live recording of his 3-hour Masada set, to immerse ourselves into that beautiful, graceful and moving experience once more.

Philly-born, New York-based producer and DJ Holden Federico is dedicated to reimagining techno by pushing its core elements to bold new extremes. His productions carry a driving low-end energy, rich thematic layers, and dub-infused detailing, all underpinned by grit and soul. As a DJ, he weaves together diverse textures, thoughtful pacing, and a deep respect for techno’s roots, shaping a modern dancefloor experience that balances the physical with the emotional.

With a career spanning around 10 years already, Angioma is one of those examples of relentlessness and full dedication to the scene: label owner, event promoter and much more, he started the Room project many years ago in Barcelona but moved to Berlin in 2020, taking the concept to other cities in Europe such as Amsterdam, the German capital and more expected in the coming future. 

On the booth, he has only one objective: to set the dancefloor on fire with his blend of groove and hypnotism with a constant driving touch. Angioma is also a prolific producer with releases on Room Trax, Animal Farm, Made Of Concrete, Mind Medizin, and upcoming releases on industry staples like Soma and AMTK, and also Anaoh. His involvement and maturity despite his young age surely make Angioma an artist to watch.
