The first original production from Cagey Oil Driller, a sound-design mixtape called Lungs. Made with the Erica DB-01, the mixtape was inspired by a DJ set he performed recently for Common Multiverse Initiative titled 'coughs.' Fall is a customary time for all your ghosts and metamorphs to come alive in a nightly dance of boundless echoing contradictions. Swayed by their flows, you find yourself staggering in strange mist, between worlds. Soon after, you open your eyes in some backwater dead-end, wondering what took you there. It does get pretty loud in there at night.

This second radio show on @ma3azef Radio is a collaboration I did with  Cru Encarnação, a performance artist, translator and writer from Lisbon based in Berlin, who explores the material dimension of socially constructed meaning. 
The half and hour mixtape is a sci-fi story about the promising experiment of the human perpetuum mobile, which fails and haunts a body that is doomed to grow backwards. In this partially self-regulated inverted mutation, nails and hairs shrink, digestion occurs in reverse, bones thin out.
A story about the intoxicating violence of displaced flesh.

The second half hour I have as a special guest Tadleeh, an Italian musician and producer known for droning over breakcore. 
After her first release 'Ego Will Collapse' on @Yegorka she brings us a mix full of shadows from her most precious collection of vinyls.

"I’ve been thinking about and listening to SOPHIE’s work since the news of her passing. I’ve been trying to listen to her whole production discography; and I’m struck by the sheer breadth of sounds and ideas that she created while she was with us. 

What her work shows me is that as an artist, musically you can do it all: she forces her listener to never categorise or place her within the limited confines of a single genre; her sounds manage to move through and with so many different kinds of people and musical spaces - she had this unique ability to facilitate world building with her audience during her performances and through everything that she did.

Shilla invited me to contribute to a mix for her series Struma+Iodine, and it feels right to select SOPHIE’s music for this. We should be listening to this together in a room somewhere to process this monumental loss - but instead, I’ve put together some of her tracks that mean the most to me and tried to express the vastness and complexity of her work, although this is just my interpretation.

What’s really helped these past few weeks is seeing the sheer multiplicity in the ways of understanding and celebrating her life and work; so I’ll link to those mixes here (all of which I would highly recommend):
