A few years back a friend told me I might consider using more arpeggios in my tunes. That suggestion has stuck with me as I go on making this kind of music.

I found old patterns with the first arpeggioriff of this song in my archives a few years back. Continued building on it from there. This is one of those tunes I have been fiddling with now and then over a long period of time. Many parts and versions have come and gone. I think that might be evident now when you listen to it. Not sure if it’s coherent any more but I hope this release version is at least a fun mess.

I think this might be my first full on 32 channel chiptune.  And I know it’s the first time I have resorted to more extended mixing and mastering outside the tracker. Feels like cheating, but I got fed up trying to do all the smaller tweaks inside Milkytracker so I gave it a runthrou in Audition.

Only significant tune I've finished for the C64 so far. Hopefully there'll be more once I have space to bring my machine with me to college/get over myself and use SIDWizard with an emulator/suck it up and use Goattracker

I originally wrote this for a compilation about 2 years ago, but various things prevented the organizer from making the compo happen and it was never released.

Made with SIDWizard 1.6 and recorded from an actual 6581 NTSC machine

MyNewSoundtrack - Boomer Kuwanger (Backing Track)

The soundtrack I made several years ago for the cute flash game "Hammerfest" by Motion Twin.
It's mostly FastTracker 2 xm chiptune reworked under Renoise :)

I added an unreleased track not selected as main music, and a nice alternate version of the "boss" theme enhanced by Romain "Ninomojo" Gauthier & Jake "Virt" Kaufman.

This is one of the tracks that didn't make it to the Machine Album due soon. I was thinking of putting together a Lost Floppies Volume 2 with a mix of old unreleased chiptunes and the chippy machine leftovers. I guess it would sound something like this track. Also, this track got a fair amount of inspiration from Zabutoms Zeta Force, and I also used some of his drum-samples from an old FT2 track.

I loved the original so much that when I was able to get my hands on the source LSDJ file, I made a remix of it. Wizwars was pleased as punch too, given that he called my remix "Dope As F***"!
