The United States and Russia will chair a new international meeting today on the crisis in Syria. The US Secretary of State, John Kerry, will urge the grounding of all military aircraft in certain areas of Syria
to protect aid convoys. But after yesterday’s bitter exchanges at the United Nations, little progress is expected. From New York, our Diplomatic Correspondent, James Robbins reports...

The United States and Russia have been unable to reach agreement on reviving the Syrian ceasefire after a high level international meeting in New York. Their failure was underlined the announcement of a new Syrian offensive to retake rebel-controlled areas in the city of Aleppo. James Robbins reports from New York

The British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, will join his Greek and Turkish counterparts in Geneva today for talks over Cyprus that the United Nations says are the best chance to reunify the island. The Foreign Secretary said a solution was in reach if all sides were ready to be flexible. From Geneva, here's our diplomatic correspondent, James Landale:
