prom night flowers, rented suits
midnight drives and moonwalk boots...

and Through it all, our friends were glue!

Cheap tattoos and lava lamps
Polaroids of summer camps
Blockbuster late fees and chewing gum
First heartbreak to make us stunned
parking lots and summer rain-
writing names on windowpanes-
how the smallest things remain
to do it over again-  

daily classes and  drama queens
Tamagotchis and store bought rings-
CD bootlegs drinking gin
couldn't wait to get out again....

All our glitches made us human
came out broken, but  hangin' strong
