This track started off as a chord progression I came up with while playing around on my piano.  I then took that chord sequence further, incorporating a string section and an experiment with layering up beats.  It was originally a sub-one minute sound stab, but after some positive feedback, I created this track from the original idea and extended it into different realms...

This short track started with playing with some hand clap samples and a couple of hours later ended up being this!  Can't say I've ever deliberately used a Persian Scale before, but I think it works here.

Had a huge amount of fun and trips down musical memory lanes with this one: one of the most fun projects I think I've ever done!

I'd received quite a few messages asking if there was a full version of the tune I made for Professional Mountain Biker Olly Wilkins (@odub_23) so I decided to put one together using lots of iconic samples from the late 80s and 90s.  Not sure if it'll be up here for long, but enjoy it while it's here.

When professional mountain biker Sam Reynolds asked me to create a tune for his build videos for the recent (frankly incredible!) DarkFest event, he specified that it would need to be either drum and bass out metal in vibe.  So I made him a metal drum and bass FUSION track!  Here's the full tune in all its glory...

Dark Fest 2023 Theme Tune - Full 5 Minute Version...

This started off as a simple loop and developed into this track which I am really rather pleased with!

Music for Viola, Piano and Drums

The inspiration for this tune came from a valley in The Peak District in the UK, very near where I used to live.  I went for a kind of ebbing and flowing feel to the music to represent the valley curving its way down.  The arpeggio lines and bending solo cello and viola parts reflect the curves of the river.

This is a song I wrote about a person's struggles with their inner demons that we may or may not always be aware of (The Hidden) and finding a way through.

It's hot.  So hot...  Need air!

And then there he is, across the space: looking at you.  You turn away from his gaze, but can't help turning back.  That's when he starts to approach.  There's something about him.  Something different.  Something off, but tantilisingly odd...  You stare into his eye as he comes near.  Where will this encounter take you?

I come from a background of classical music (I played the French Horn in different orchestras, and also learnt the piano,) I spent a LOT of time in dark techno clubs growing up and have always loved jazz...  I suppose this all shoves together to make the kind of music I come up with...!
