On the night the Queen Mother died, I was drafted in to present the overnight show on 97.2 Stray FM in Harrogate - my first ever nightshift! I played laid back tunes through the night (mostly self-selected), and kept repeating the same message about the death of the Queen Mother the previous evening. Aircheck ends with me doing the Sunday paper review on the breakfast show with Jeremy Gartland. This was Easter Sunday morning 2002 and also the night the clocks had gone forward an hour.

I think I mainly recorded this onto cassette in my bedroom to get copies of the Oasis MTV Unplugged tracks - I probably set the tape recorder going before I went to school.
