Dirge in G

An improv over a simple Em progression in the style of late 80s instrumental artists like Joe Satriani. The lead was one take, Charvel So Cal with EVH Frankenstein and Duncan 59 pickups, Amplitube 4. Logic Pro X.

Danger Noodle '87

Just an experiment with Line 6 Helix Native,  trying to replicate Angus Young's Back in Black tone. Guitars are a Gibson Derek Trucks SG, didn't have a Gretsch so used a Tele for Malcolm's part, and a Fender Precision Bass. All guitar parts are through Helix Native, with some Redwirez IRs. Drums are Logic Drummer. A small amount of compression was added to the overall mix to tie it together.

Helix Native Black Angus Experiment

Just a short experiment with the new Line6 Helix Placater (Friedman BE-100) model, re-amping an older track just to see what happens. Dirty rhythm and lead guitars all re-amped from dry signals through Helix. Hair metal style, very 80s.

An example of creating more "roomy" sounds with the Helix, using Celestion impulse responses, specifically the room mic option. First is an attempt at Kossoff's tone on the Granada live special, using my 59 Les Paul reissue. Second is an approximation of the live tone from Cream's Wheels of Fire and Goodbye albums, using my 59 335 reissue. They are more or less the same patch, same amp and IRs, but with different reverbs. The live feel comes from the Celestion room IR.
