Get Yourself On Home

This song is a lament for the tragic Australian bushfires of 2019/20

When I moved back to Sydney just before Christmas the sky was constantly black or grey with a bright orange sun. I started writing down what people were saying about the fires, what I heard on the news and the radio. When I sat down, took it all in and started to write- this is what came about. 

Australians are resilient, and I am sure we will come together to overcome the catastrophic tragedy that's befallen us. I am lucky enough to live in a suburban area that has not been ravaged by fire, but I wrote this song in solidarity, and in an expression of how horrific and shattering it must be to be living through the worst of it.
