This particular song is one of the more relaxed Folk sounding songs. I wrote it while I was in Johannesburg and missing my friends and family back home.

Falling For You

Silver Rocket Cadillac, was written and rewritten and rewritten over a period of a year, originally it was simply about 'boy and girl' but then the producer, Jake Odendaal, came up with the imagery of flying to the moon and back in a 'home-made' flying car. I then changed just about every word to get to what is now. Musically we wanted something Up-lifting and feel good. We came up with the 'Amy Winehouse' swing beat and built from there. We wanted to stick to the 'Old-school' sound it had and so added the backing vocals in the chorus and the Tuba in the Tags. Silver Rocket Cadillac

This is the second single to be released off the Broke Down Beat Down EP. We had so much fun recording it. My favorite part must be the bass groove. It was played by Vernon Hodgeson.  I hope that you enjoy it. Thank you for your continued support!

Coming Home

My Sweet Lady is third single off the Broke Down Beat Down EP and the follow up to Silver Rocket Cadillac and Coming Home.
This is simply a feel good song about doing things you wouldn’t normally do to impress someone. In my case it was dancing, I never dance but found myself in a position where I was prepared to dance just to keep the attention of a beautiful woman. Aside from the lyrics, we tried to capture a song that people could literally shake their booties to, hence the 60’s drum groove and the brass section.

Away Away is the fourth single from the Broke Down Beat Down EP and is available on iTunes. This song is about getting lost in what you are passionate about. It peaked at number 2 on the Jacaranda FM Top 20. Hope you enjoy!!

Run Run was produced and recorded at The Hit Lab Studio in Johannesburg and mastered at Sterling Sound in New York. It is a high energy pop rock song about hauling ass away from the conformity of society and the way it subconsciously moulds our lives.  It is the first single off of the new EP titled 'Go for Broke' which will be released in December 2017.
