For edition number 37 two mysterious figures emerged from the marshes of Worpswede. Whether as part-time vagabond or underground mixologist they have been around and spawning in all different kinds of places and situations that we share and love. Always with them is their quirky music and nature that they condensed in this heartfelt and folky mix.

Quadrant Soundscape presents In:Focus 009

For our 9th mix of the series we turn the spotlight to one of our favourite labels of the last few years, Australia's finest - Primary [colours]

Primary Colours was founded in a pub over an IPA in 2012 (The Perfect place to form a label, in our opinion) and is the brainchild of Lance Harrison and Mark Baumann, aka Echo Inspectors. 

Over the last few years the label has gone from strength to strength and really carved out a unique sound amongst the Deep and Dub Techno Community. They showcase some of the top artists from around as well as bringing to the fore some of Australia's best talents. 

As with all our In:Focus mixes the challenge is to highlight the breadth and diversity of the label in question. It is by no means a 'greatest hits' and there is so much amazing music on this label that we didn't manage to include in this mix but we urge you to check out if you haven't already.

Today we hear straight from the UK - DJ KABIJ. Paul Rimbaud is a London-based DJ who also runs the Distant Worlds @distantworldtransmissions label. Although he is mainly known for his techno, he also does some Elvis impersonation and sometimes works as a life coach. Here he offers a mix inspired by the early UK rave scene, with breakbeat and heavy bass that connects rhythms from the early 90s to the present day.
