June the 17th meet Nakadia to come back with her new single release titled "Back to Zero" to CODEX Recordings! 

Nakadia: "When I started working on "Back to Zero" I wanted to create an Acid-track, but not with the usual long 303-line. I was thinking of a driving Techno track with a short "Acid Surprise" and that's exactly what the track has become.
I originally got inspired to "Here we are" after night at DC-10 Ibiza listening to one of Jamie Jones's amazing techno sets. His techno is different to mine, but I wanted to produce something in this style. The first version was a lighter and funkier track, but it was not Nakadia. And after some time I decided to get back on the track again and make it more Nakadia-style. I added harder drums and when I found this outstanding synth-sound that now is the main sound of the track, it changed the entire dynamic of the track and now "Here we are"!"

Blake Jarrell & Jeff Varisco - Almonaster (Original Mix) [Concentrate Recordings]

The second release on Concentrate Recordings from producers Blake Jarrell and Jeff Varisco is a must have for lovers of progressive house and techno. The A-side of the release is titled “Esplanade.” Visitors to the city of New Orleans will no doubt have seen the grand homes on the avenue with their beautiful balustrades adorned with verdant gardens and world-renowned architecture. Beyond this, there was another reason for calling the track “Esplanade.” Once, on a fine Mardi Gras day, Blake and Jeff set out on a bacchanalian experience that would have made the Romans envious. However, true to the old adage that, “what goes up must come down,” our heroes were abandoned by a vicious she-wench and forced to trek home nearly 3 miles to Jeff’s apartment (because cabs really don’t exist on Mardi Gras day). Truly calamitous! Anyways, “Esplanade” is a track reflecting all that is good and wonderful about the grand old avenue.

On the B side of the release, Blake and Jeff have created a pure techno monster. “Almonaster” is a dark and destructive tune that builds and builds upon solid bass and seductive syncopation. The street it is named after in New Orleans is infamous for body dumping and drag racing. Roughly half the street lights on Almonaster are burnt out and no one obeys the speed limit. The climax of Almonaster personifies the label mission to provide both tension and release. If you like driving really fast at night, this is the song for you. It also sounds amazing on club speakers. Concentrate Recordings 002 is a fantastic release and you should buy it. As always, Jeff and Blake are happy to provide the stems for all songs to aid you in your creative endeavors.

Drumcode has become a label synonymous with some of the most-cutting edge and forward-thinking techno over the last 20 years. Their artists include both emerging and established names, and one of those well recognised is Enrico Sangiuliano. Now announcing the very first concept album of his career.

The prolific Italian producer has been catapulted into the limelight after the runaway success of his past releases, and now Biomorph is born. 

A very special concept album designed to take the listener on a journey of evolution. A musical adaptation describing how biological and technological advances over numerous generations of time have all started from the same first step in our own biological journey.

Divided into 4 parts, Organisms opens with atmospheric tones, gradually blending complex textures and timbres to begin the evolutional process. The beginning of this section combines full sounding arrangements before stripping it all back to basics. From here it dissolves into the atmosphere. Organisms then progresses into a break-beat influenced, down tempo track using synths to add complexity to the straight, broken rhythms.

Galactic, futuristic elements are found in both tracks in Cosmic Forces. Upbeat, groovy, electronic synths resonate, before ‘Hidden T’ brings the tension to get things pumped up with stratospheric swirls and twirls to lay down one of the most mind meltingly deep drops.

Metamorphosis is mysterious, its opening beat is a deep and piercing tone that sends the listener into a sensory awareness of their surroundings before breaking into a fully charged, techno track, with Enrico’s trademark sounds and textures.

All evolution has an ending.

Two Probabilities shows the positive, starting out evocative and emotional, with a gentle harmony, gazing towards a ‘New Dawn’. On the other side of the spectrum lies the negative. This is influenced with a rhythm that articulates the beat of death, mathematical, cold and metallic in texture, it shows the unsustainability of its nature, with a hectic, anxious break beat influenced ending.

The digital version also features a bonus track; 'A Further Existence'.
