Montreal based DJ and producer Ostrich debuts on Sublease Music with a double a-side release. Ostrich has already carved a path as a DJ and producer, pushing a minimalistic sound that pulls from downtempo, dub, deep house and techno.

Double Dribble, the title track provides an infectious bassline and airy pads floating on a super tight rhyhtm-section.

In contrast, his second track, Too Dumb To Succumb The Drum focusses on a driving multi layered drum pattern with a wobbling bass and synthie stabs winding their way through, before turning into a futuristic deep house cut.

London based James Dexter returns to Sublease for a stellar remix of Double Dribble. Synth-melodies and housey pads ride on a seriously heavy punching beat setting.

Danilo Schneider - Out Of The Box (Erol Arda Remix) [Cervidae]

This was released in 2007 on Delsin thanks to Fabrice Lig, aka Soul Designer. I had been in touch with him over the previous year and he was really helpful with support and advice about my productions. He loved the demo version of Hundulu which I sent to him and offered both to remix it and to pass it onto Marsel at Delsin. Thankfully Marsel was into both the original and the remix and it came out later that year on the mighty Delsin.

I'm uploading just the original here, but do go check out the Soul Designer remix too as it's an absolute banger of a track.

One of my own personal favourites from that era.

I've made a fresh mix and master of this track for this Bandcamp release.

Guide to mashup
you simply start creating a folder on your own
desk tex. "Loony-Tunes"
in that folder you make approx. 8 under folders
for example.
01.Intro
02.Build Up
03 Beats
04.break
05 build up
06.beatz
then you fill each folder with approx. 10 songs that you can
take something of about 1min then load song 1 in deck A and play
in tex. Intro ... then you cut with the stop button
and loads what is recorded in deck A in Deck B loads
if you continue, you play Intro and play on
for example. build up then there are different ways to fade and cut with the stop button but this is the basis ...
you can do exactly what suits you
