Hit I was written for Studio Dan. When the Jazzwerkstatt Bern people wanted Studio Dan to play at their festival but could not afford to bring the whole band there, we decided to get together with a bunch of local musicians to play some Studio Dan tunes. So this is the Swiss edition of Studio Dan playing one of our first hits, featuring Leo Riegler on electronics.

Fanfare I was originally written for a special line-up of great improvisors on the occasion of the opening of the JazzWerkstatt Vienna´s first Roomservice Festival in 2010. This premiere recording was played by Franz Hautzinger, Gerald Preinfalk, Lorenz Raab, Clemens Salesny, Andreas Eberle and Daniel Riegler. Later,  the piece was played by Studio Dan.
