The title track and also the name of the CD; The Badger and The Cricket refer to a fictional folk tale about an animal bacchanal.
In a warm August evening the bacchanal, which at times is very rollicking ends up with badger eating the cricket.

Pàtmos è una raccolta di brani contemporanei (di nomi arcinoti e mirabili sconosciuti) remixati e riarrangiati per tentare una rottura a partire da questi: rottura nella composizione e nell’ascolto.
Patmos è un'isola dell'Egeo, appartenente all'arcipelago del Dodecaneso, famosa per essere il luogo di esilio in cui san Giovanni evangelista avrebbe scritto il suo Vangelo e l'Apocalisse. Al contrario dei Vangeli sinottici, focalizzati sulla predicazione del Regno di Dio da parte di Gesù, il quarto vangelo, quello di Giovanni, rompe con questa tradizione per approfondire la questione dell'identità del Cristo, identificato con il Logos divino, preesistente alla formazione del mondo e sottolineandone ripetutamente anche l'umanità.
Questo è il terreno fertile entro il quale inquadrare questo EP. Il tema è la rottura a partire dalla tradizione e il legame tra musica e spiritualità, che lega ogni intervento live o in studio di Calembour, mentre quello tra natura e arte impregna le loro installazioni multimediali, il tutto a voler unire orizzontalità e verticalità della specificità umana.

In una regione del Sud Africa la parola “Imibala” significa colori. Il trio vitale ed energico intende comunicare tramite i colori, attraverso delle macchie di temi all'interno dell'improvvisazione. Suoni elettronici attraversati da fantasmi jazz e psichedelici, tutto con un'attitudine free.

In a region of South Africa, the word "Imibala" means "colours". The vital and energetic trio intends to communicate through the colours: specks of themes within improvisation. Electronic sounds crossed by jazz and psychedelic ghosts with a free attitude.

Ice Pick is the title of the first work inspired by the recent history of the lobotomy technique and the life of Dr. Walter Freeman. We tell the story of a patient treated with transorbital lobotomy through his feelings and sensations trying to recreate his mental state using a sort of counterpoints between the flute and the guitar at one side and the industrial/noise samples on the other. The use of spatialization techniques create an immersive experience for the audience.
