The indie rock trio, Toma, has been honored several times as Act of the Month or Newcomer of the Month by NDR2, Radio Energy, etc. and has been in the top 100 on the German Newcomer Charts with their single, "Ich glaub ich mach mal blau” for the past 15 weeks. Toma also enjoyed countless radio plays and airplay rotation with the album, “Alles wird gut” and the ensuing single, “Jeden Tag”. Both are to be found in all major record shops. The Trio is valued as an excellent Live Band and for some time has distributed free samples of their actual promo CDs with current recordings of the so-called “Live Studio Sessions”.

„Aremorica – Land of Elves“ entführt einen in die fabelhafte Welt der Elfen und Trolle und des düsteren
Mittelalters. Das Album bekommt durch den großen Klang und die schweren Trommeln, gepaart mit der
Leichtigkeit der Flöte und der Qanun eine tolle Eigendynamik, reißt einen zum Tanzen mit und versprüht
dabei den Charme großer Emotionen, so dass einem sofort einleuchten will, warum die Römer so große
Schwierigkeiten mit den sagenumwobenen Galliern hatten. Bekannte Kompositionen des Mittelalters wie
z.B. Landini’s „Ecco la primavera“ oder Dufay’s „Vergene Bella“ verbinden sich mit keltischen
traditionellen Tänzen, wie z.B. „Andro“ oder „Hanter droú“ wunderbar zur musikalischen Einheit.

Neue Single, neues Video, musikalisch kraftvoll und mit gnadenloser Betrachtung des Zeitgeschehens, wie es aktueller nicht sein könnte. Hierbei wird aber keinesfalls eine politische Position eingenommen, sondern unserer Politik einfach nur schonungslos der Spiegel vorgehalten. Wer früher schon genauer hingehört hat, bei Songs wie „Komm lass uns gehen“ oder „Wie es gerade noch war“, der hat schnell gemerkt, dass es sich hier nicht um leichte Unterhaltungskost handelt, denn Toma klingt eigenständig und besitzt ein unverkennbares Gefühl für die Beschreibung dessen, was auf diesem Planeten so passiert. „Die sagen“ ist nun die erste Single des neuen Albums, für das es bisher weder Release-Termin noch Namen gibt. Vor allem in Einheit mit dem Musikvideo, kann einem der Track schon auch mal ein wenig Gänsehaut bescheren und bei allem Fokus auf die Aussage des Gesamtkonstrukts, nistet sich die Nummer dermaßen im Ohr ein, dass man das Ding einfach nicht mehr aus dem Kopf bekommt.

Ist auf dem aktuellen Album "Alles wird gut" vor allem verspielter und aufwendig produzierter deutscher Gitarrenpop zu hören, der im Radio läuft und sich Song für Song im Gehörgang festsetzt, so rockt und drückt das live, dass einem die Kinnlade runterklappt. Im Herbst 2011 wurde es mit neuer Livebesetzung und komplett neuen Song-Arrangements auf einmal richtig laut. Nach wie vor, Toma klingt eigenständig, mehr denn je, und besitzt ein unverkennbares Gefühl für die Beschreibung dessen, was auf diesem Planeten so passiert, und jetzt rockt das auch noch und überzeugt vom ersten bis zum letzten Ton mit fettem Groove, grandiosen Melodien und Texten, die einen fesseln und berühren.

Reduziert und auf den Punkt gebracht kommt das Rocktrio mit Gitarre, Schlagzeug und Bass daher, und setzt mal wieder neue Impulse in der deutschen Indieszene. Jetzt haben die Drei sich damit kurzer Hand für ein Wochenende im Studio einquartiert und einfach alles live eingespielt, um zu zeigen, wie das klingt, wenn sich ein Sachse, ein Hamburger und ein Schwabe zusammentun und sich aufmachen, die Bühnen der Republik zu erobern.

Für 2012 sind gleich mehrere Touren angesetzt und man darf gespannt sein, denn auch für den heimischen CD Player gibt es bald neues Futter. „Ich glaub, ich mach mal laut“ wird sie heißen, die neue Platte und spendiert damit auch gleich den Schlachtruf für das neue Jahr.

Notion Sound Collective - In the long run

Studio Mondbasis is a professional recording studio located in Hamburg, Germany. The owner and mastermind Toma Moon started off as musician in 1990 and from 1998 until today he has produced, recorded, mixed and mastered several different artists in a great variety of genres, from all over the world. 
Studio Mondbasis is a part of the Mondbasis Hamburg, a music business company founded in 2004 and also home of the music label Sunbase Records and the sound- & event-service company Mondbasis Sound & Light. Toma Moon was musical director of the Robert Johnson Guitar Award and producer and dozent for the german music organisation BVMI and the Goethe-Institut Boston. He is a part of the "Notion Sound Collective", artist manager for The Lets & Jessica Baran-Surel and producer & dozent for Wacken Music Camp.
