South London-based DJ benk0 (@benkos) delivers a captivating hour-and-a-half warm-up set, recorded live at Venue MOT on New Year’s Eve.

This set, the first of the night before Oma Totem took the stage, is a slow-burning ride through deep, percussive, dubby, and atmospheric textures. As the mix unfolds, it steadily builds in tempo and energy, reflecting the room’s transformation from empty to buzzing with life.

Revisiting this set always brings back the excitement of that night, as the crowd grew and the energy built with each track, which is why I love to play and experience good warm-up sets.

 "Feeling a bit drained by winter and under the weather, I wanted to create something comforting, like that old plaid you love to wrap yourself in.
As a teenager, I used to listen to mixes in bed, dreaming of being in clubs while drifting off to sleep, caught in the loop. I tried to capture that feeling here. Hope you enjoy it !"
