Dedicated to the memory of Jamal Craig, my best friend since high school. Jamal wore many hats and wore them all well: loyal friend, proud dad, sharp intellect, a natural comic, gifted rapper, infamous prankster, excellent cook, avid gamer, not to mention he drove for one of the premier trucking companies in the US. 

He passed away December 29, 2019 at 38 years old from a sudden rare illness.

For this track, I tapped into musical elements of various artists that he and I shared a mutual admiration for: Miles Davis, Woody Shaw, A Tribe Called Quest, Bill Evans, J Dilla, Pete Rock, and Wu-Tang just to name a few.

Special thanks to Karel Ruzicka whose beautiful flute work helps complete the vision.
