About this mix... I started this project back in late 2021 / early 2022 after gathering all my favourite releases from the year 2021. I had every intention to do a year in review mix as that year was so solid for great releases, plus, I had loads of time on my hands as we were in and out of lockdowns.

Long story short, I got stuck on several transitions and because I suffer badly from perfectionism bordering OCD I just couldn't get it finished to a standard I was happy with (I set my standard extremely high!). However after sitting looking at the saved playlists on Rekordbox for the last four years I realised it really is wasted not having the life breathed into it! So... I've finally started to record the entire project despite the transitions I'm not happy about, there'll be around 6 hours of music in total and I will probably release it in three parts.

So here it is, PART ONE of my take on the best Trance music from the year 2021. The rule was only releases from that year and the mix had to be coherent and in context, this is a journey, this isn't just a mix, this is me pouring my heart into something I love. I play a lot of genres BUT Trance will always be the sound I connect with most, it's the modern day Classical Music and is by far and away the most emotional of all the many facets of Electronic Dance Music. 

I've tried to encapsulate that into this the First Part of my Magnum Opus from 2021.
