The dance floor was flooded with energy. Waves of intoxicated bodies crested and crashed with the beat of the music. He was nervous, this was his first time coming to the new city. As he entered the room he was met by a bubbling mixture of energy and sound. He knew she would be here somewhere, but where?

And then he saw her from across the floor. Her smile broke the surface of the crowd. Her face left him feeling underwater, breathless. Holding his breath, he stepped forward and approached her. His heart pounded in his chest, his head swirled with the moment. His nerves began to swell and in that moment Snugs appeared.

“Who are you?” He asked.
“I am Snugs. I saw you felt like you were drowning and needed to be saved,” said the little blue creature.
“Can you help me get her to like me?”
“No” Snugs repeated.
“Then what good are you to me?”

“I cannot change the feelings of others, but I can be here to help. Love and attraction are not as simple as getting someone’s attention. Sometimes people can get overwhelmed and it can feel like you’re drowning. Sometimes the best thing to do is embrace the moment around you. Be authentic and people with will be drawn to your independence. So grab a drink, get your feet moving and swim!”
