Shouts out to Alex Gittemeier for making the original one-line-jam.c  (+ the cover art) and being the coolest friend a lonely sack of potatoes like myself could hope to have!

Did you know that the original song was generated from one line of C code? How flippin' cool is that!! It uses a lot of bitwise arithmetic and putchar() to generate an 8-bit PCM wave.

Furthermore, the video itself is the product of a program I wrote this weekend in Processing which processes a WAV file and draws a waveform visualizer for it! I'll see about cleaning up the code for release, and I'll make a video demo of it soon.

Daybreak - SDD's Wrapped In Horizons Mix

A track I've been attending to off and on for about a month, I am finally ready to present: Battle of the Ages. This song is my second attempt at an epic retro video game boss battle theme. It was originally intended as a direct follow up to my first (crappy) attempt, "Applejaq'd." However, as with most of my music, it started to go in its own direction and I didn't try to stop it.

As for the title, I had a lot of trouble with that at first. After all, what do you call a battle theme that isn't about anything specific? In the end I chose the name I did, not just because it sounds epic and encompassing overall, but also because of the retro theme, one could imagine a literal battle between different ages.

Oh, and I also submitted this to Toastbeard under the name "Alicorn Battle." Tee hee... they'll never figure it out!
