I met this weeks guest on the dance floor at a rave. I love that.  I was promoting for an event or handing out stickers or something and I asked him if he was into DNB..He pointed at his T shirt and laughed..then I saw it and I laughed and instantly is was like we had been friends for a long time. Thinking back, I can't remember what was on that shirt at all lol. He introduced himself and it turns out I had been seeing this guys name on flyers for a few years now. We exchanged some info and here we are...My boy is a SELECTA. Deep funky vibes on this one. If you don't know, get to know! Representing Central Florida, please welcome Jungle Rivers.

Sekhmet is a DJ from Bristol and a member of Full Spectrum, a collective pushing for diverse lineups in drum and bass. As well as being a resident for Full Spectrum, she's played for other Bristol labels such as Just Be, Redacted and Too Ill. Primarily a minimal dnb DJ, she enjoys playing a wide range of music, and in this mix you'll hear a multigenre blend of 140, jungle, breakbeat, garage and bass-heavy techno.

Guest Mix #04 SEKHMET

Australian artist Sistym has a propensity for rumbling low-end soundscapes where the sub rattles your rib cage. Growing up in Perth, she discovered D&B through religiously buying releases from labels such as Hospital Records and Shogun Audio at the local music store. Quickly falling in love with the deeper side of the genre, this new fast paced hyperfocus led her to pick up DJing, eventually resulting in playing on lineups with Andy C, Break and Alix Perez amongst many more. 

Currently based in Melbourne, she is deeply involved in the city’s D&B community and is part of the roster for respected crew The Operatives. In 2023, she founded Midnight Request - an event brand focused on promoting local and international underground acts. 

Sistym’s fondness of moody atmospheres and textures in combination with technical drum breaks and rolling basslines won her a place in the 2023 Overview Music & Dynamics production mentorship. Her debut release Eyes Open / Fever Dream was signed to Brisbane's 8Ball Audio imprint in 2024, and there are more releases cooking in the pipeline ready to be unleashed.

Appearing at internationally renowned festivals such as Shambhala and Northern Bass as well as murking clubs across the UK and Europe, watch out for Sistym shelling down more dance floors around the globe soon.
