Groove Formula (Scott Hamlin) is a DJ and budding producer from Atlanta, GA. Over the past 10 years, he has curated mixes of the best deep, uplifting, euphoric and driving underground progressive house, melodic house and techno from industry-leading and up-and-coming producers.

His mixes are carefully designed and mixed to take the listener on a musical journey; attempting to invoke a happy, relaxed and grateful state of mind. This mix is sure to do just that! ENJOY x

Hello Everyone, and welcome back to our new look Podcast! We are three weeks deep into our new venture as Il Modo, as we continue to plunder the planet for perfect progressive beats.

With the first of a Dublin Double Header, we are back on home shores in Ireland today. Behind the decks, finally... check out this superb exclusive set from Joe Doherty!

Joe Doherty has been a lover of electronic music for many years. Having dropped out of the music scene for about ten years he rediscovered his love of dance music around 2012 and hasn't looked back. 

Since then he has been involved in various projects. His current musical outlets are via Saturo Sounds online radio where for the past 3 years along with his Indoctrinate colleagues they host a 4 hour show every month with guest mixes from some of the best progressive DJ's on the planet. Based in Dublin, Ireland, Joe along with his friend Colin Laird host a bi-weekly radio show on Irelands largest underground dance radio station Phever. Joe has also featured as a guest DJ at various events in Ireland including Jika Jika, Derry, Pitchfest Wexford and has also ventured into club promotion, hosting and playing alongside Anthony Pappa and Harry Lemon last year for his own INDRN8 event.

Welcome to the PFG Movements inaugural mix :-)We have been away but we are back , and back with this stunning mix of pure quality from the legend that is Steve Marx . 

Sydney’ born and bred, Steve Marx has mastered his craft as a DJ over the last 20 years, moving to London in the mid 90’S, he was influenced by the huge brands of the time such as Renaissance, Slinky and Ministry of Sound.
 
He quickly became a trusted name alongside the greats such as Nick Warren, Sasha and Hernan Cattaneo, who till this day insist on him for support whenever they play down under!  
Now heading up the infamous onedotsixtwo label, with his cohorts Tripswitch and Gustin he is not just a DJ to be reconned with, but one of the taste makers of the progressive scene. 

Based back in his home town of Sydney and playing the biggest parties in Australia, Steve travels the world plying his craft at every opportunity, and is snapped up by promoters around the globe to play his amazing musical soundscapes. 
In recent years when returning to Europe, he has played alongside John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and B2B with Eelke Kleijn cementing his place as a global name at the top of his game. 
 
At home in Sydney, alongside running his dance music show on Bondi Beach radio, he has regular appearances for Return to Rio, Boots and Catz among many more amazing events, it’s safe to say that Steve is a force to be reconned with for any dance floor!

One of the most loved and respected names in the Australian dance music industry, Kasey Taylor made his mark in his hometown of Melbourne before John Digweed scouted him in the mid-nineties on his first trip to Australia where Kasey was playing the warm up set for him. It was that warm up where he gained Digweed’s instant respect and shortly after he invited Kasey to play at his infamous Bedrock night in London. That was the catalyst for Taylor to take his sound to a global audience, leading to international exposure and a permanent move to Europe to satiate the demands of his worldwide bookings that followed. Kasey is the creative power behind the highly revered Vapour Recordings, the 25-year old mainstay which was founded in 1997 and is over 160 releases deep and still going strong. 
More recently Kasey has gone through a massive personal and creative resurgence. The recently rebranded Vapour Recordings is on a roll again with the label releasing regularly after a 2 year break due to the pandemic. The standard of the releases is and has always been what makes the label stand out from the rest, with names like Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Gai Barone, Stereo Underground, Jamie Stevens, Nick Warren, Dousk, James Monro, Mike Rish, GMJ, D-Nox & Beckers and 
many more high profile artists all appearing on the label. 

With an armoury of names like that, it’s easy to see why Vapour creates excitement with the scene’s biggest players. 
On a more recent production level, Kasey’s releases and remixes have appeared on labels such as Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Bedrock as well as his very own label Vapour Recordings. Kasey has a ton of releases and remixes in the pipeline as well as some exciting collaborations with some of the worlds finest producers as he continues his drive to making quality productions to raise the hands of his beloved loyal followers on dance floors all over the world. Behind the decks, Kasey is a fan favourite at all the clubs and festivals in his hometown of Australia as well as on a global scale too. He’s played and supported alongside all the industry greats you can think of and is one of the very few that can captivate an audience with his combination of versatility, patience and experience which allows him to move through a variety of genres from deep house to techno with his perfect attention to detail and immaculate programming. With his finger well and truly on the pulse, Kasey has an ear for a great tune and is always looking to the future, and that future is set for one of Australia’s most popular dance music artists and exports to continue his already well decorated career well into the future.

This was a special set for me and I hope you enjoy the build up into what was an amazing evening.

Due to some technical/logistical reasons when the boat was docked, I had to switch the music off at the 1 hour and 7 minute mark. Resumed after we left the docks so I did my best to stitch the post recording in a way where the listener gets to enjoy the whole set as a journey.

In the last years, Styller’s reputation has become that of a multi-genre DJ, mixing genres that arbitrarily do not pair well together. The result is a powerful journey, a mosaic of emotion and energy that does not pertain to dancing only. His eclectic mixing skills are undoubtedly the reason for his nickname being chosen by those that are close to him.

While the beginning of his career is riddled with producing progressive house, from 2011 and onwards he has been successfully producing progressive trance, and as such his records have been published on all major trance labels like Armada Music, Coldharbour Recordings, or Perfecto Records, supported by all the big-name DJs on the scene.

A year later in 2012, together with Basil O’Glue they established their own label called Saturate Audio, which with its releases strikes a balance between the worlds of progressive house and trance. Famous and up and coming producers with great potential have been featured on the label, the records of which you will periodically find in the music charts and radio shows of famous DJs and producers. In its five years since the inception of Saturate Audio, the label has become acknowledged as a small, but very significant one in the genre, with two huge compilations mixed by Styller and Basil O’Glue. Saturate Audio Immersed I. and II. portray all the intricacies of the artists involved and enjoyed positive reviews from both official reviewers and fans.

Presently, Styller has returned back to his roots of producing organic & progressive house and his matured production skills contain elements from all the years leading up to this very moment. His sound could only be described as organic, ethnic, full of harmony, melancholy, and many different elements.
