Lyrical badman Stylo G is back with “Badd” the follow up single to his Top 20 hit “Soundbwoy”. 

“Badd” features reggae legend Sister Nancy on vocals. Stylo tracked her down in New Jersey, and within a few brief phone calls an updated recording of the chorus of her 1982 classic “Bam Bam” was in the bag. 

With Diztortion again on production duties “Badd” is another sure-fire banger.

“Soundbwoy” was playlisted by BCC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss FM, Choice FM and charted at number 18. Given its debut play by Toddla T on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, “Badd” looks set to go even higher! The track was 1Xtra’s “Weekend Anthem” w/c August 27th and has already been playlisted by Choice FM. Veteran dub selector David Rodigan made it a ‘New Rodigan Scorcher’. “Baad” is being championed by tastemakers such as Zane Lowe, MistaJam and DJ Target.  It’s also had spins from 1Xtra’s Adele Roberts and Radio 1’s Annie Nightingale. Over at Choice FM Daddy Ernie, Ras Kwame, Manny Norte, DJ Quincy and Firin’ Squad were all early supporters. 

In between recording songs for his debut album Stylo has been busy touring extensively including performances at Glastonbury, Wireless and Reading & Leeds festivals as well as at Toddla T Sound’s Notting Hill Carnival bash. 

The scheduled release date for “Badd” is October 20th.

Stylo G has been involved in the UK underground scene since the age of 15 when he moved to the UK from Spanish Town, Jamaica. Son of the legendary dancehall artist Poison Chang, Stylo decided to follow in his father's footsteps, making his mark in the UK when Grime music was at its highest. 

In 2004 he released 'My Yout' featuring Ice Kid and Sickman and in 2008 he won the Crystal Blue awards 'song of the year' for 'Jamaicans in Britain'. He has since developed the bridge between UK hip-hop and dancehall producing tracks; 'Leader', 'Blackberry' and 'Swagga Dem', and gaining key radio and live support. 

2011 was an explosive year for Stylo G with the release of underground hit 'Call Mi a Yardie'. The single crossed continents receiving kudos and radio play as far afield as Japan and the USA. Stylo performed in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge with Trevor Nelson and is a regular performer for Rinse FM DJ team / promoters The Heatwave. 

Stylo has since collaborated on a number of tracks with artists such as Sneakbo, Cashtastic and Wretch 32 (who provided a remix of 'Winter Swag'). Enlisting Chip and Time-Takers for his latest single 'Dash Out' (releasing 25th of June 2012), Stylo G is currently working on a studio album set for December3rd,2012 release date.
