Questa danza trae ispirazione da un manoscritto databile abbastanza precisamente in un periodo compreso tra il tardo Neolitico e il Luglio 1750. 
La pergamena sulla quale è stato vergato era incorporata nella rilegatura di un volume di epoca successiva che raccoglie diverse ricette di cucina a base di cinghiale. 
La provenienza del volume sembra essere legata a un monaco cuciniere dell'ormai estinto ordine dei Frati Trigliceridi di San Circonflesso, una congregazione di cui si conoscono poche evidenze storiche.

Da un’attenta analisi del metro musicale e dei pochi appunti coreutici — che purtroppo risultano in gran parte indecifrabili, eccetto per alcuni passaggi scritti con quella che sembra essere salsa di pomodoro — si evince che i danzatori di questa singolare danza dovessero possedere un numero dispari di arti, una caratteristica che, sebbene non del tutto chiara, sembra fosse una condizione fondamentale per la corretta esecuzione della coreografia.

Some background notes:

This dance is inspired by a manuscript that can be dated quite precisely to a period somewhere between the late Neolithic and July 1750.
The parchment on which it was written was incorporated into the binding of a later volume, which collects various recipes for cooking wild boar.
The origin of the volume seems to be linked to a monk-cook from the now-extinct order of the Triglycerides Friars of Saint Circumflex, a congregation about which few historical records exist.

From a careful analysis of the musical meter and the few choreographic notes — which unfortunately remain mostly undecipherable, except for some sections written in what appears to be tomato sauce — it can be deduced that the dancers performing this peculiar dance were required to possess an odd number of limbs, a characteristic which, while not entirely clear, seems to have been a fundamental condition for the correct execution of the choreography.
