I did this remix as a b-side to Milow's "Little In The Middle" Belgian single release.

Milow - The Kingdom (Styrofoam's Barely Space Left Remix)

I spent quite some time last year contributing synths, beats and programming to Milow's new album "North and South". Since then I've also been working on a couple of remixes of tracks off that same album. Here's number three.

Milow - Little in the Middle (Styrofoam remix)

I just found this one back on an old cdr in my studio and thought I'd share it. It's an unreleased mix of The American Analog Set's "Gone To Earth" off their amazing "Know By Heart" album. I think I produced this about nine (!) years ago. Back then I did three remixes of songs off this album: "The Postman", "We're Computerizing" (both released on the AmAnSet's "Updates EP" and this one which has stayed firmly in the closet until now. AmAnSet singer Kenny would go on to guest on my "Nothing's Lost" album and even played in a Styrofoam live line-up for about five East Coast shows in November 2005. I think the Amanset guys might have found this one a little too dancey and that's why it didn't make the cut alongside the two other remixes. I remember clearly how I got to this remix. I didn't know the band at all back then but I really really loved the record and I emailed their label while it was playing on my turntable and before the first side of the vinyl had finished I had already received a reply from them saying they would love me to remix some songs. The rest is history, as they say.

"Hey" is the second in a series of singles and remixes that will be released in 2017. The studio version was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Thom Monahan (Vetiver, Wild Nothing, Fruit Bats) and the remix was produced by Belgian indie-electronic artist Styrofoam, who has previously produced remixes for the Postal Service, Ben Gibbard, and the Submarines, among others.  

"Hey" follows "Before The Ice," which premiered in February via FLOOD Magazine along with a remix by Xander Singh (formerly of Passion Pit and Pepper Rabbit).
