hey man this sounds incredible! i love american analog set. they are such an underdog but so good. i used to have a really iwerd ep of thiers that was a split with white magic and it said it was sponsored by tylenol.. haha i dont know if it actually was but it was bizzare and amazing. either way american analog set is the bomb

I just found this one back on an old cdr in my studio and thought I'd share it. It's an unreleased mix of The American Analog Set's "Gone To Earth" off their amazing "Know By Heart" album. I think I produced this about nine (!) years ago. Back then I did three remixes of songs off this album: "The Postman", "We're Computerizing" (both released on the AmAnSet's "Updates EP" and this one which has stayed firmly in the closet until now. AmAnSet singer Kenny would go on to guest on my "Nothing's Lost" album and even played in a Styrofoam live line-up for about five East Coast shows in November 2005. I think the Amanset guys might have found this one a little too dancey and that's why it didn't make the cut alongside the two other remixes. I remember clearly how I got to this remix. I didn't know the band at all back then but I really really loved the record and I emailed their label while it was playing on my turntable and before the first side of the vinyl had finished I had already received a reply from them saying they would love me to remix some songs. The rest is history, as they say.
