The Ubiquitous Mr Lovegrove  ~  Dsider with Dead Can Dance Tribute

Began as a poem I wrote long ago.  Finally after 2 years of waiting for tendon injury to heal and sadly still unable to play my guitar.. decided at last to make something a little different together during a short visit to Edinburgh.  Having only an hour or so before leaving we improvised the piano part together. Nothing we could do about the bagpipes playing outside.. hopefully the reverb kills them a little.. and hopefully they add to the atmosphere :o).

the silent door
mist
and
blue
to deep reflection

closes

a timelessness
of distant
lights
the intense
calm
of a pilgrimage
to nowhere

self imposed
exile
renders past
future
oblique..
to dry out
in the wind

thoughts 
shapeless
in the soft dusk

faces hide
expression
in the dim
blurred
edges
of the moment

we think
of

of the

The Lake   ~   with daughter Alicia  ~  first collaboration *!*

Thought I would give you a flavour of Alicia's wonderful voice ~  and the beginnings of a song which I think is already truly special !  

We are planning to record some songs together I have been writing lyrics for/composing with Alicia ~ hopefully in the summer.. if I am able to play well enough once more. Alicia vocals.. piano.. uke ?... me.. acoustic/classical guitar.. harmonising.
