My Fears (The Ship Knew About It)

Mental health...  It's in the news, on your phone, in your head.  It's okay to not be fine all of the time.  It's okay to feel down or- it's okay to feel anything.  But feelings are transitory.  They will pass.  Radically accept whatever it is and move on to the next challenge.  If you know someone who is struggling- reach out.  Your effort could make all the difference in the world.  The people who need help the most are the least likely to ask for it or appear as though they need it.  😔
Wow- Season 5?!  I never could have imagined making this many mixes let alone people actually listening to them.  I am humbled by every listen and comment I receive. I know it takes time to write a comment or to listen to an hour-long mix.  There is an endless supply of music out there so the fact that someone chose to listen to my effort is remarkable.

I wanted to make this season special- dark, deep, and curated rather well...

There is some intense dark'n'heavy bass work from @angalardub- 'The Disease' will infect your ears.  @mahsiv delivers a wicked slice of bass pie with 'Strictly'.  It's going on a year old but will still knock your ear drums in.  @viruldnb's track 'Animal Instincts' might be five years old, but sounds fresh AF today.  @teejdnb delivers with the sonic delicacy that is 'Lunacy'- top fucking notch there.  I think there are three or four @resslekdnb tracks in here, each one a subtle banger with super-clean sound design.

The biggest of ups to all the producers making these tunes- us djays would be nothing without you all giving us something to play.

Knuckles - D&BS S05E01

We paired Dalenn and Raket on the next EP to drop in the mixed artist series from the Wicked Jungle Kru.
Dalenn brings the danger back to the dancefloor on the smashing tech-step sounds of Silver Bow. Growling reese bass. Devastating bass bombs. Heavy metal 2-step breaks. It's been awhile since the D&B scene has had this kind of heat in DJ sets.
On Behind You, Raket injects some funk back into nuero-funk. Smooth synth basses bounce and ricochet over funk breaks. This one will get the floor moving.

Crystal Eyes has some nice vocals with deep Reese bass lines and shiny melodies combined with rolling drums
to make this one a nice ride on the dance floor or in your car.
In My Head comes with nice jungle drums, great arpeggios and a vocal to remember.
Both tracks were mastered totally analogue and recorded to real tape by Tomkin to add this extra touch of power and spark.
