Trance-Electro #5

The newest release on Pulsar Recordings is a two-part production by an artist who’s no stranger to the label: French Skies.

The first part, ‘Across the World’, is a heavenly uplifting tune that builds up steadily, with a driving bassline that rolls along towards the gradual rise of the pads, before a rapid synth jumps in and takes the listeners by surprise, all accompanied by the “aah”s of the vocals in the background.

Organically, a soft piano melody works its way in, before the sounds collapse in the breakdown, where the listeners are confronted with the beautiful sounds of nature, and the melody returns, holding the listeners’ hands and taking them on a trip around the world, across the forests and meadows and oceans, finally taking off, leaving the listeners soaring the skies.

The second part, ‘Great Ancient Sea’, is a more rhythmic and energetic track, with a punchier kick and bassline, along with a faster, happier echoing melody that runs towards the ocean and takes a deep dive, leading the listeners on a journey into the underwater world.

As the surrounding sounds die out, so too does the melody, diving deeper and deeper, before the synth takes its place and flies out of the water, gliding along the ocean.

The German trance legend Alex M.O.R.P.H. has made a few appearances on Roman Messer's Suanda over the years, and it was only a matter of time before the two producers came together for a collaboration! With both of them known for their uplifting records, it's hardly a surprise that 'CYBERIA' is brimming with energy and ready to take its listeners on a proper trance journey. Hypnotic sonar pings echo throughout the track and eventually make way for the soaring lead melody that is carried by banging beats and a driving bassline.

Cutting the metaphorical ribbon on Suanda Music's brand new Suanda Dance sublabel, Roman Messer releases his fresh take on the evergreen 'Coming Home'!

A record that has seen its fair share of versions by various musicians, 'Coming Home' is brought into the realm of summery dance music with gentle care and respect for the feeling of Skylar Grey's original. One of Roman Messer's biggest vocal anthems, 'Lullaby' featuring Roxanne Emery, receives a new makeover for 2023!

Reflecting Roman's current uplifting trance sound, his brand new 'For All Time' mix of this timeless record sees him revisit Roxanne's vocal one more time. Roman's newest take updates the instrumental to be more anthemic and closer to the classic 'true trance' sound that we all know and love, with syncopated stabs of melodies soaring high in the track's sonic space. Perhaps not quite balearic, but certainly leaning in that musical direction, this version from Roman is bound to stand the test of time, as its name implies. There is a second meaning to the enigmatic 'For All Time' subtitle, one that Roman plans to reveal soon enough - but for now, his newest update on 'Lullaby' firmly stands on its own as a single release as it proves Roman's prowess in uplifting trance yet again.

Roman Messer is back on Suanda Dance with 'YOLO'!

Having recently kickstarted this brand new sublabel of the Suanda family with his own release 'Coming Home' a few weeks ago, label boss Roman Messer returns with a hot new dance record to further lead by example. 'YOLO', his latest offering, is a cheeky and bouncy tune that hops between sing-along verses in triplets and more straightforward four-to-the-floor choruses with swing that are engineered to be groovy and dancefloor-ready. Lighthearted and great for easing the crowd into the more explicitly EDM parts of one's DJ mix later on, 'YOLO' is both an excellent warmup record and something to throw down on a packed summer terrace when people are already dancing, depending on the direction of your mix. Cheeky, fun and catchy, it's one for summer playlists for sure.

French Skies returns to Pulsar Recordings following the release of his single ‘Hieroglyph’, this time with an EP, entitled Calista, comprised of two original tracks and a remix.

The title track of the new release is a fast-tempo’d emotional tune that takes off with a looping melody. Slowly moving towards a drop that brings in echoing sounds, the tune eventually turns to a calm piano melody accompanied by orchestral instruments in the breakdown.

During the uplift, the melodic loop jumps back in, rapidly rising towards the skies and leading to a drop that will get the listeners pumping their feet to the beat.

Blue Tente’s take on the track is an even more emotional and uplifting version, with an underlying bass, and a sharp piano melody that leads the way from the get-go and into the melodic loop, followed by a heavily-instrumented emotional breakdown - all building a smooth journey that leads straight into an epic, mind-blowing uplift. Following the drop, the piano melody comes back in, slowing the listeners towards a calm stop.

‘Sun Dream’ is a more tension-filled track that starts with a driving bass and is slowly taken over by a synth that constantly rises and leads towards a bright, upbeat melody. This is followed by a short breakdown that slowly moves towards the climax as the synth and bass return, leading to a heavy drop, bringing back all the sounds that dance in chaotic harmony.
