06 This Time (Gorge Rmx)

Set at 127.0 BPM in E♭ minor, this minimalist dark-techno composition relies on a dry, pounding 4/4 kick, looped metallic percussion, and surgically EQ’d hi-hats. The atmosphere is dystopian, built from subtle filter shifts and granular-noise textures. The piece avoids melody in favor of mechanical hypnosis, tailor-made for warehouse floors.

It begins in the Black Forest, soft sub-pulses and misty drones wrapped in filtered static, evoking mountain rain. As the river crosses Central Europe, industrial layers emerge: iron-like percussion and deep tom patterns shaped with rhythmic precision, echoing bridges and factories along its banks. Vienna’s passage introduces a faint trace of mechanical elegance glistening overtones and syncopated modulation that mimic waltz time dismantled by machines. Flowing toward the Balkans, distortion thickens; metallic drones churn like turbulent waters. At the Black Sea, the sound expands into wide, decaying resonance — history dissolving into electric sediment.

Fellow Colonian JONATHAN KASPAR makes his label debut with his slinky track "Renard". DJ BALDUIN definitely is one to watch in 2020. His massive "E.W.B.A." transcends the friendly populism of an ancient Love Parade anthem while capturing the sincere spirit of today's electro revival. REX THE DOG's "Vortex" and TOM DEMAC's "Serenade" perfectly showcase why KOMPAKT is still one of the most played and charted labels in electronic music today. In a scene that is more fragmented than ever these two producers delivered true consensus hits that are cherished on all sizes and shapes of floors beyond genre boundaries.

The second half completely belongs to a whole new breed from our beloved SPEICHER series such as ANNA, YOTAM AVNI, EXTRAWELT, RAXON, BLACKRACHAS, JOHN MONKMAN and LA FLEUR alongside our full time members PATRICE BÄUMEL, KÖLSCH and GUI BORATTO.
