YASMEENAH is a DJ, event organizer, and cultural force in Minneapolis. As the founder of UNBOTHERED, she creates space for deep connection through dance while keeping the Black roots of underground electronic music front and center. With a global ear and a Minneapolis heart, her sets move seamlessly through deep, soulful house, Broken Beat, and African polyrhythms—always with intention, always in rhythm with the people.

With a sound that’s traveled across North America and Europe, Yasmeenah shares her sets on dance floors and over the airwaves. Through UNBOTHERED, she’s a resident on Carbon Sound Radio and curates DJ in the Park—a seasonal outdoor gathering, free and open to everyone, from seasoned ravers to kids and elders.

She is also a proud member of Blueprint in Detroit, a Black femme DJ crew known for pushing the culture forward while honoring its lineage

This program’s mission is to create a space for artists to tell their story. The BASSment has been a place for so many artists to feel free to play music they may not normally get to play out. During the interview segment the guest artist will get to talk about where they have come from, things they are working on and where they would like to see themselves going in the future. There will also be a Q & A segment led by questions submitted by listeners and followers of the channel.

i figured since i've taken forever to release other bass coast sets before -> i'm releasing this one *right away*. jungle in the center, with a healthy amount of sidequests. thanks to each and everyone who showed up. i see you all.

a few tech slips happened like my dub siren (monotron) not working and the third cdj not working right as i started (tech folks, who were excellent, swapped it out immediately tho), ..and that made me not want to touch the mic like i would have and switched what kind of selections i made a bit too. i am *GOOD* with what i did tho and i feel a true 90's jungle spirit in some moments of the recording (which is one of the things that i was aiming at - so mission accomplished).

Hailing from the depths of the Pacific, swisherman has since adapted to life as a land based DJ & producer, whilst not forgetting his roots below sea level. 
swisherman brings a considered approach to his selections & productions, with over a decade of experience in soundtracking warehouse parties, abandoned spaces, dusty dancefloors & the occasional legitimate venue in & around Eora/Sydney in Australia, as well as recent gigs in Japan & New Zealand. No stranger to outdoor festivals, swisherman has also brought his unique blend of deep, minimal & meditative dance music to gatherings across Australia and NZ, including Twisted Frequency (NZ), Dragon Dreaming, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Earth Frequency, Subsonic, Psyfari, Armada, Art Valley, Zenith Gathering, Origins Of Entropy, & many more.

swisherman is a core member of DUNJ, a crew who throw parties all over the city, from abandoned and unused spaces all the way to iconic venues like the Opera House. This is where he gets to show off the deeper and darker side of his music collection. He also works full time as a post production audio engineer, so he knows a thing or two about making audio sound as good as it needs to be for maximum absorption.
swisherman is inspired by misty mornings, home built sound systems and plants that grow in the gutter.
