@asphalt_layer 's deep, electronic and dubby sound can be heard on multiple record labels worldwide. Incorporating analog machines and field recordings to generate the many noises he uses in his productions and live performances, along with that 90's Jungle influence, his sound is very recognizable.

He is also one half of Quadrant Soundscape and the mind behind Dub Explorations. Over the last 5 years, Quadrant Soundscape has featured on many podcasts and radio shows across the globe, where their creative style of playing Ambient, Dub Techno, Minimal and Detroit Techno on 4 decks, while incorporating live samples is a testiment to their craft. This has also led to them being invited to play many gigs in Manchester, London and Berlin.

His Dub Explorations Radio Show is reaching 100 shows, all 3 hours in length which is an insight into the dedication he has for hunting underground Dub Techno music to showcase and push forward.
Tommy was also one of the masterminds behind the Dusk Dubs Mixtape Series, spanning 6 years of weekly podcasts.

Since childhood, he began to be friends with music. In 2015, he got behind the turntables. Currently producing music under the alias 'Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer' (dub-techno project with X_FR).

"I found out recently that someone very dear to me had died. 
Her name was Mary, we first met when I was a youth worker in south London nearly ten years ago. The offices of the charity I worked for were in the back of a church, Mary would sit at the reception desk at the front of the building and improve the world of anyone who entered it. Although previously unreleased - I wrote this piece of music about her in 2011, borrowing the title from a book she'd written much earlier in her life (about her travels to Ecuador and the community she'd become part of there)."

Weightless is an EP of intricate original piano compositions by UK artist Alex Kozobolis. With a series of solo releases over the past few years and collaborations with artists such as Lee Chapman, Harry Edwards, and Anna Rose Carter, Weightless represents Alex's unique approach to composition and melody. 

His touch on the piano is light and fluid; moving between dense sustained runs, which evaporate as soon as they are heard, to spaciously plotted notes. Weightless is the sound of weight itself lifting, of the earthly effect of gravity removed and allowing the listener to be suspended within mid-air, uninterrupted by pressures and restrains of the physical world. Coursing with energy, and running to take flight.

Each of the four tracks have been remixed by Siavash Amini, Tom Adams, Trnspt and Hedia, with very different, but cohesive results, expanding the tone of the EP into new areas.  

Weightless will be available on limited clear vinyl, digipack CD and digital editions.

BIO :
Behind the project "Protuberance" is Ivelin Iliev - a producer and DJ from Bulgaria. He found out about electronic music for the first time in the mid-1990s when he first heard Prodigy. In the beginning of the new century, he began organizing underground techno parties with friends. In parallel, he started producing his own music. In 2010, he bought the necessary equipment and maked his own studio. Since then, there have been 4 albums released, one of which is on a CD for the oldest net label in Bulgaria for experimental electronic music Mahorka. His name appears in the dub techno combinations of Cold fiction - Future [e] cho. He also released his own music for various small independent labels. As a producer, he sets no boundaries and experiments in various electronic styles such as ambient, DNB, deep techno and IDM. In 2019, he launched his own series of podcasts entitled "Cryptic vibes" , in which he sets up live shows and streams them on Facebook and Youtube. Like a DJ, the music he uses is a cocktail of dub techno, tech house, deep techno and minimal.
