Hailing from France, Darj presents a selection of murky, organic, and heavyweight tunes with definite middle eastern flavor and dub influence.  The title track, Ka'Andirah, is full of ethnic percussion and starts with a dreary soundscape highlighted by a reverberant middle eastern style vocal that transports the listener to an ancient past.  Substantial bass, and dynamic rhythms give the sound system a workout pushing you into the future.  Red Crypt continues with the ancient vibe, but adds a relentless sub-bass to keep the dance moving.  Envenom & Seamless Whole push the listener even further into the deep, dark depths of Darj's production.  Finally, Vesta rounds off the EP with consistent half-time kicks placed in a sparse sonic soundscape.  Remix of the title track by @Deafblind.

Sub Pressure is back in 2017 with an EP from UK producer Wheelton. This EP contains 2 original tracks from Wheelton, ‘CPH4’ and ‘VNS,’ alongside remix work from AxH, Section 8, and Arta. Both of these tunes align with the dark, tech heavy, sci-fi sound of the label, while presenting the producer’s unique blend of cinematic style, and
dance floor drive. ‘CPH4’ is the soundtrack to a dystopian future, inhabited by a species of tribal humans in the outer regions of the solar system on the brink of extinction…a relentless rhythm with Neurofunk influenced sound design. ‘VNS’ is the slower paced, sonic sister of ‘CPH4.’ This track trudges along with a swung, heavy halftime
stomp, while dissonant pads, and synthetic, tuned percussion invoke industrial, technological imagery. AxH provides an even deeper rendition of ‘CPH4’ with his remix, while Section 8’s version is closer to the sound of the original with a heavy half-time swagger. Arta takes ‘VNS’ into dub-wise territory with his remix, rounding off a wellbalanced
EP.

The EP starts with a full-force, Neurofunk inspired Dubstep affair titled "Carthage."  Representative of Kwizma's style, quality sound design, and uncanny ability to produce aggressive tracks that do not scream in your face, but are more akin to bottled lighting; the power is there, although it is not released on the listener in its entirety.  "Tomahawk" follows a similar creed, subdued aggression with a strong Drum and Bass influence that is certain to keep the dance floor moving at any hour of the night.   "Submarine" is more of a laid back groove, eyes-down type skank out the fully embodies the sound of Sub Pressure's dark tribal dance floor weight.  The track "Hyperspace" is a collaboration with Kial.  This cinematic number is a dark, science-fiction style roller graced with angelic female vocals, and masterful synth sound design that transport the listener to an off-world future where humanity still has a hope.  For the last two tracks on the EP, veteran producers Leon Switch and Kelly Dean take two of Kwizma's originals and flip them on their heads with impressive results.  Leon Switch's remix of “Carthage” is absolutely relentless, and guaranteed to bring the dance to a frenzy.  While Kelly Dean's remix of "Submarine" contains so much bass weight and space it could be detected on the most advanced Naval sonar systems.  This EP is heavy, and there is no room for filler tracks.

Each pore on the face, gasping for air through a moor of perspiration. Skin suffocating, lungs heave and ho, entombed hands unbreaking, shoveling more coal into the fuming furnace. Sweat-logged hair keeps pacing over the collarbones, as to finally strangle that last rattle of breath. Heart rate is controlled, commanded and moved by bass and drum. Body’s rhythm and vibration has been challenged, natural existence no longer exists. Struggling for control, but losing a fixed game. Must escape this darkness.
 
A flicker of lightning in the distance followed by a paralyzing crack, reverb ringing out. Darkness slowly falls away as a sterile light emerges from the lightning dregs. Like a bad dream, stepping towards the light only to have it another step away.  Must embrace this darkness.
 
Kwizma gives Sub Pressure another masterful and hypnotic EP that borders on the edge of what is considered deep bass music,  encapsulating the mind’s eye with dark and dubious sounds, while keeping the dance floor moving with an aggressive pace.

Veteran producer Leon Switch comes to Sub Pressure with a 4-track EP that plays with the boundary of what can be considered "Deep Dubstep."  Perhaps these tunes are too aggressive to fall into the category of the dungeon, dark, Deep Dubstep sound.  Yet, too controlled and refined to be lumped into the crate with Dirty Dubstep.  These tracks find themselves in a space all their own, moody but moving.
