The mystery around the producer/producers known as the Yum Yum Club continues to flourish with a debut E.P. on Sprechen (@sprechenmusic) which promises 'Music For The Rave'. Following the track record of a cracking remix for Paper Recordings and the pretty amazing 'An Acid Love Feel Track' which featured Maria Uzor on Sprechen, this first outing is packing excessive 3am  murky basement slammers with a ton of groove & energy that reaches peak face chewing scenes!

Trippy Vocal Track delivers exactly that, a warped up twisted vocal sample wrapped around a twanging style bass with equally as twanging synth stabs alongside fully jacked up percussion & hits that never drops below full throttle!
Equal parts hypnotic - slamming & yes, trippy.

Piano Rave Track does exactly what it says on the rave tin. An absolute HUGE piano sample that's been dug up from warehouse raves of the past that surfs a monsterous bass line complete with hardcore MC asking 'do you understand!?', yes we do indeed...its time to rave!

Closing off the hat trick party is the addition of An Acid Love Feel Track which features Mariz Uzor on vocals. Originally released as part of the Edgy Future Discotheque Vol.3 compilation the track picked up some serious rotation on Radio 1 by Jaguar Worldwide and was hand picked by Jodie Harsh as her Radio 1 'Dance floor Moment'.

When Stoned idea #4532 was put into play this is what happened : We  round up some fellow herb-merchants to have a go at rolling Von Party & Naduve's 'Cobra Kush' up and hosting their own studio smoke-out. 

1st up is Rodion : BONAFIED big-snake smoke machine. This i can attest to - his mixing desk is one big mixing bowl. You don’t actually have to look for the weed because its everywhere there. Its inside the machines, it’s all over the mouse, and the smoke alarm has dead batteries from being overworked.

The road was calm and quiet, those who inhabited the surroundings rarely saw much new life pass through here. Bordered by perfectly symmetrical tall trees, the dust track stretched far into the distance, with no destination in sight. He perched on the side of the road, tapping the curb with the tips of his fingers to make sure he didn't drift off. With every slight sound he jolted up to his feet, but for hours he waited and nothing passed. As he was about to admit defeat, the rev of an engine sounded further up the road, slowly gaining closer and closer. Now to sweet talk his way into getting a lift...

Parisian label Motordiscs, a continuation of the late Garage club in the capital, offer up their third release, another V/A spotlighting former DJs and artists who've played at the space. Following previous track contributions from the likes of Sascha Funke, Khidja, Zombies in Miami and Massimiliano Pagliara, their newest release brings together tracks from The Juan MacLean, Fairmont, Naduve and our pick from Javi Redondo, who notches the energy levels up through revving synth lines and dynamic percussion.

Gerd Janson sends Rheinzand into orbit with this turbocharged remix double. The Running Back label owner and longstanding DJ heavywheight enlists his house music fluency, revving up the disco gleam of ‘Blind’ on its own terms. Charlotte Caluwaerts vocals reverberate through space ray arpeggiators and burnished drum gates in a pulsating play of silver and silk.
Janson’s effort here sends our thoughts to gentler times as we imagine it either booming from a preposterous sound system in a sweaty basement or glowing in Mediterranean starlight. Either way, the energy of this one deserves a real dancefloor so let’s hope it gets one soon.

Hailing from the creative hub of Ghent, the group consists of multi-instrumentalist Reinhard Vanbergen (emphasis on multi), producer Mo Disko of the renowned duo The Glimmers and vocalist Charlotte Caluwaerts of Tundra.
Their music is highly danceable. Disco and funk meet electro and house in a mixture that gives nods to all eccentric corners of dance music history. Fragments of old & new, forgotten & popular coming together in their own take on what makes people dance today, yesterday and tomorrow.

Gerd Janson is the quintessential DJ’s DJ, unearthing the gems that get other music lovers hot and excited. The man has his plate full. Whether at the helm of the long-running Liquid club night at Frankfurt’s Robert Johnson with DJ comrade Thomas Hammann, dishing out simmering analog House as co-owner of label Running Back, or penning many a story for Germany’s Spex and Groove magazines.
