Illich Mujica is a Venezuelan born, New York City-bred DJ who plays uplifting melodic tunes blended with dark and mysterious beats. A commanding stage presence who always connects on an emotional level with the crowd, he understands a DJ performance as a communal experience, in which he guides the listeners on a profound musical ride.

With over a decade of experience playing in New York City’s top clubs (Output, House of Yes, Cielo), international hotel and resort rooftops and lounges (Public Hotel, The Standard, Habitas, La Granja), exclusive parties (Caravan Gitane, Woomoon closing after party Ibiza), festivals (Wonderfruit, Burning Man, Mysteryland) and private events, he can dig deep into his vast musical library to craft the perfect set for almost any setting. His fan-favorite sets, however, are ones of transition: musical journeys that bring the crowd from a sunny day to a sexy, sensual night; driving, dark beats to a joyous sunrise; and meditative global sounds to jazzy piano riffs.

This mix deals with the cosmic in different levels; from the scientifically atheist & religiously bizarre intro, to the cosmically hypnotic-sounding loops and rhythms that build in one's head, to the more beautiful and emotive second half resolution. The narrative takes place through a story arc that peaks early in the mix, taking the listener through slightly meaner, darker, driving (almost rock-n-roll'ish) soundscapes; and ending on what could be a sunrise here on planet earth.

Unsere Nr. 213 kommt heute von einem Künstler, der mich seit ungefähr 2 Jahren mehr oder weniger ununterbrochen musikalisch begleitet. Ihn zu Überhören ist im Grunde ziemlich wirklich schwer. Nicht nur auf Grund seines hohen Outputs und Engagement, sondern vor allem wegen der hohen Qualität, die sich in all seinen Mixen wiederfindet. So auch bei unserem. 

Die Rede ist von Aka-Tony der schon sehr früh mit Vinyl sammeln und auflegen begonnen hat, bevor er sich eine sehr lange Pause gönnte in der er nur Musik hörte. Seit 2018 ist er als DJ, Podcaster und Herausgeber der Podcast Serien Aka-Tapes und ganz neu auch Love is Love wieder aktiv. Daneben kuratiert er für Planet Ibiza verschiedenste Podcast Formate und belegt einen festen Programmplatz bei Radio GDS.FM aus Zürich. 

Nach eigenen Angaben ist für ihn eine gute Afterhour, die musikalisch mit einem feinem Bruch beginnt. Ein sanftes, aber spürbares hallo wach zu Beginn.  Darf ruhig etwas anspruchsvolles sein. Jeder soll merken, dass die Nacht nun eine neue Wendung nimmt. Gerne gefolgt von ein paar eingängigen, easy Tracks mit denen langsam aufbauend die Schraube bis zum Höhepunkt angezogen wird um danach die Intensität zu halten, jedoch die Dichte zu verringern um ganz zum Ende zu melodisch, ansteckend tanzbaren Beats zu wechseln bei denen die Tänzer und Tänzerinnen, bevor sie zum wiederholten mal an diesem Morgen ihren Bus verpassen,  noch ein letztes mal mit der Musik verschmelzen. 


Sein eingespielter Mix spiegelt die oben beschriebene Intention haargenau wieder. Dieses Mal reduziert Thomas aber das Tempo deutlich, bleibt aber seinem treibenden deep-techigen Muster treu. Somit sorgt er gleichermaßen für Ent- und Anspannung. Eine perfekte Formel für eine locker-flockige, tanzbare Afterhour. Schnallt euch an…

Here we go with Keinemusik's newest release - it is already number 47 and going by the lovely title "Hand In Hand". Speaking of, let us just give you a hand real quick and elaborate on this. The label is actually turning ten years in 2019. That is ten years of quite a few buzz making records within the back catalogue, ten years of priceless memories on the road, in the studio or somewhere in-between and above all, ten years of doing things hand in hand. So therefore the release to celebrate the occasion simply needs to carry this name. The idea is pretty basic: everyone of the label's mainstays is handing in a tune. Rampa is starting things off on the A-side with "For This" - a collaborative effort together with Berlin born and London based singer Chiara Noriko. It is a track rich in contrast, laying down a roughly shaped foundation featuring a swirling bass and shimmering synthnotes, but then suddenly enriched by harmonies and topped off by Chiara's yearning croon. Safe to say, the rather emotively charged frames of a clubnight have been waiting for this. Then there's Reznik - up to this point being in the picture as the DJ only fella - chipping in "Schuhu's Groove". A cut that indeed delivers a good amount of grooving energy. And at the same time, a bright tune that's switching beat patterns and indulges in Neo-Disco- leanings and funked up synth arrangements. &ME is opening side B with "Fairchild" and yet another sophisticatedly laid out floor epiphany, showcasing his ability to shape monolithic yet soulful peaktime masterpieces. Here he introduces staccato synths on top of a stoic groove, that are being shrouded by a pending note and then ultimately enlightened by pads and an instantly infectious piano melody. And finally we find Adam Port on B2, pursuing his knack for lost African treasures. Once again he finds the source material in an old traditional by Quim Manuel O Espirito Santo. Port's edit of "Eme Lelu" seeks to update the original in some of the rhythmic patterns and create a whole new dramaturgic, floor tweaked build up, yet he leaves the original's cheer- and playful nature untouched. Mikah überschreitet gerne Genres und ist mit seiner ungezügelten Experimentierfreude und Soundästhetik sowohl tiefgründig und mitreißend als auch subtil und explosiv.
Der Hamburger DJ, Produzent und Veranstalter hat unter anderem auf Labels wie Katermukke, Do Not Sit und Lost Diaries veröffentlicht und schaffte es damit schon mehrmals in die Beatport Top 100.
Als Resident der renommierten Hamburger Club „Docks“ und „Uebel& Gefährlich ist Mikah ein fester Bestandteil der elektronischen Szene. Mit seinen Releases und DJ Sets u.a. auf dem legendären Burning Man (USA) setzte er ein Ausrufezeichen, das weit über die Grenzen Hamburgs hinausschallte.
Mikah wird von einer unerschöpflichen Neugier den elektronischen Klängen gegenüber getrieben. Genau das zeichnen seine Sets und Produktionen aus. Es ist sein Feingefühl für die Atmosphäre, die Menschen und den Augenblick. Es sind seine Persönlichkeit, seine Energie und sein musikalischer Wiedererkennungswert die ihn zu einem unverzichtbaren Teil der Szene machen. Beim Spielen entfalten sich wundervolle Klanggebilde und Geschichten, die eine emotionale Dramaturgie entwickeln. Diese liefert stets Emotionen und lässt die Tanzflächen vibrieren.
